Vuleka Centre is an ecumenical organisation that seeks to grow human potential and creativity. It is where we gather to realize βA World Awakened to Another Way of Livingβ
At Vuleka we seek always to embrace and engage with the community that we reside in as well as the communities that come to stay at our centre. We seek to partner with our immediate community and organisations in KwaZulu Natal
that seek to uplift the poor and marginalized of our society. We seek to experience the love of God in tangible ways and to reach out and share the insights we have gained with all of Godβs community. Simply put, we seek to live a deeper truth of Godβs grace and mercy. Expanses of green lead on to comfortable rooms and communal places, lush gardens and a breathtaking view. It is here that people gather to experience "A world awakened to another way of living". Established in the 1960's, today Vuleka Centre is a comprehensive non-profit organisation administered by the Vuleka Trust: a board whose trustees are drawn from the Anglican, Methodist and Roman Catholic Churches. Vuleka Trust has always welcomed all denominations and faiths. Vuleka is situated about halfway between Durban and Pietermaritzburg, two of KwaZulu-Natal's greatest cities. It is thus ideally located to offer cozy and affordable accommodation to the province, as well as to guests from further afield who would like to experience community in its warmest form. The Thousand Hills route is home to many cultural, culinary and artistic attractions - all within easy reach of the Centre - and Durban's sunny, warm coastline, sports venues, theatres, restaurants and shopping centres are only a short distance away by car. The Centre will appeal to any organisations wishing to hold conferences, workshops or training sessions away from the workplace, in the rolling, serene reaches of the auspicious Thousand Hills.
