🇿🇦🌸 HAPPY WOMEN’S DAY FROM THE SOUTH AFRICAN WRESTLING FEDERATION! 🌸🇿🇦

Today, we proudly celebrate the incredible women of South African wrestling the women whose strength, commitment, sacrifice and passion continue to shape our sport and inspire the generations that follow.

From the athletes who step onto the mat with courage, to the coaches who guide and develop champions, the referees who uphold fairness, the HSS teams who care for our athletes, and the administrators and team managers who work tirelessly behind the scenes every woman plays an important part in the wrestling family.

Women in wrestling are competitors, leaders, mentors, organisers, professionals, mothers, supporters and role models. They give countless hours to our clubs, provinces, athletes and national teams, often without recognition, simply because of their love for the sport and the people within it.

Our sport is stronger because of you.
Our athletes are better because of you.
Our wrestling family is richer because of you.

May every young girl entering a wrestling hall see women coaching, refereeing, competing, managing and leading and know that there is a place for her in every part of this sport.

On this Women’s Day, the South African Wrestling Federation salutes every woman who has contributed to wrestling past, present and future.
