Wolwange Charity WOLWANGE CAT CHARITY NPO (2026/369020/08) Every day, countless cats are born on the streets, struggling to survive without food, shelter, or love.

Wolwange is a nonprofit charity dedicated to the rescue, care, and rehoming of feral cats and kittens in our community. Our mission is to break this cycle through our Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program — humanely catching feral cats, getting them spayed or neutered, and returning them to their colonies to live healthier, safer lives. But we don’t stop there. We also take in orphaned or abandoned kit

tens as young as 2 weeks old, nurturing them in foster homes until they are strong, socialized, and ready to find their forever families. We rely entirely on public support to continue providing food, medical care, and loving shelter for these vulnerable animals. Whether it’s a one-time donation, monthly sponsorship, supplies, or fostering — every bit of help makes a life-changing difference. You can be the reason a tiny kitten grows up safe, healthy, and loved. Join us in giving feral cats and kittens the future they deserve.

"They were left in a box and forgotten... but we're determined to make sure their story doesn't end there. ❤️🐾"

Wolwange Charity was called in to rescue them before it was too late. These little ones are still so young that they cannot even eat on their own yet. Left in that box, they had no way to escape, find food, or protect themselves. Without help, they would not have survived.

No kitten deserves to be dumped and forgotten.

Despite everything they have been through, they are safe now, receiving the care, warmth, and love they desperately needed. Now all they need is a family to call their own.

Please help us find the perfect forever homes for these precious babies. They deserve to know what it feels like to be loved, cherished, and wanted.

If you are looking to add a furry friend to your family, or if you can help us share their story, please get in touch.

Together, let's give these kittens the happy ending they deserve. ❤️🐾

We cannot do this without your support. Thank you for helping us continue our rescue work and change lives, one kitten at a time.

# Maximus the Brave One

The day Maximus was rescued, he arrived in the most unusual of carriers—a faded yellow Rama margarine container. It was not a place any kitten should have called home, but for a tiny feral kitten fighting to survive, it was the safest place his rescuers could find at the time.

He was in a heartbreaking condition. His small body was covered in ticks and fleas. The bites had left his skin raw and bleeding in places, and patches of fur were missing from constant scratching. Every breath rattled through his chest as he struggled with a severe case of snuffles. His eyes were crusted shut, and one of them was so badly damaged that it could never recover.

Despite everything, he fought.

When the family first looked into the container, they saw fear in his eyes—but they also saw determination. The tiny kitten hissed weakly, trying to convince everyone he was fierce. Yet beneath that brave act was a frightened little soul who had never known safety, comfort, or love.

They named him *Maximus*, meaning "the greatest," because they could already see the courage hidden inside him.

The days that followed were filled with endless care. His wounds were cleaned gently. The ticks and fleas were removed one by one. Medicines were carefully measured and given on schedule. Soft blankets replaced the cold ground he had known. Warm meals appeared every day, and clean water was always waiting for him.

The snuffles were stubborn. Some nights his breathing sounded so congested that his family barely slept, checking on him again and again. They wrapped him in warm towels, sat with him through treatments, and spoke softly to him even when he seemed too tired to respond.

Slowly, the frightened kitten began to understand that these hands were different.

These hands did not hurt.

These hands brought comfort.

As Maximus grew stronger, the difficult decision was made to remove his damaged eye. The surgery was not easy for anyone. The family worried endlessly, but the veterinarians assured them that removing the painful eye would give him the best chance at a healthy and happy future.

When he came home after the operation, he was sleepy and sore. The family surrounded him with quiet love and gentle care. They made sure he never felt alone. Day by day, he healed.

And then something wonderful happened.

The little feral kitten who once cowered from every movement began to seek out affection. He discovered the joy of soft beds and sunny windows. He learned that being stroked behind the ears felt wonderful. He discovered toys, treats, and the simple happiness of falling asleep in a lap.

The more kindness he received, the more his true personality emerged.

Maximus became fearless.

With only one eye, he raced through the house as if he owned it. He climbed, jumped, explored, and played with endless enthusiasm. Visitors were often surprised to learn he had once been a sickly feral kitten. They saw only a confident cat with a proud swagger and a heart full of love.

His missing eye never defined him. Instead, it became a symbol of everything he had overcome.

Today, Maximus is living proof that compassion can change a life. The kitten who arrived bleeding, infested with parasites, struggling to breathe, and carried in a humble margarine container now spends his days surrounded by warmth, safety, and people who adore him.

He learned that not all worlds are cruel.

He learned that kindness can heal wounds deeper than those on the skin.

Most importantly, he learned what love truly means.

And every evening, as Maximus curls up close to the family who saved him, purring contentedly with his one bright eye half closed, he reminds them of something they will never forget:

The bravest hearts are often found in the smallest creatures.

A Reminder About “Free to Good Home”

Feline Friendz Feral and Domestic Foundation was recently asked to assist with rehoming a litter of kittens one grey, and two beautiful black kittens.

As with every case we take on, we immediately put the proper process in place. Rescue work is never about rushing. It’s about making sure every animal is placed in a safe, loving, responsible home through careful screening, home checks, waiting periods, and adoption procedures.

But sometimes people become impatient.

The owners grew frustrated with the waiting period while we worked to secure the right homes. They informed us that a friend of the mother wanted a kitten, and instead of allowing the rescue process to continue, they handed one over as a “free to good home” within hours.

A few hours later, that same kitten was returned.

Returned with a broken leg.💔

The explanation given was that the kitten had “scratched her,” along with a list of excuses and stories that could never undo the damage already done.

This is exactly why rescue organisations do what we do.

When you ask a rescue to help rehome an animal or place kittens for adoption, please trust the process. We understand how the world works. We have systems, checks, and safeguards in place because we have seen the heartbreaking consequences when animals are placed carelessly.

A cute face and a quick “I’ll take it” is not enough.

A “free to good home” is often one of the most dangerous things for a vulnerable animal.

Please remember:

Rescue is not about speed.
It is about safety.
It is about protection.
It is about giving every cat and kitten the best chance at the life they deserve.

Let this be a reminder and a warning to everyone:
If you reach out to a rescue organisation for help, allow them to do the work they are trained to do.
And what a free to good home can do to animals.

That waiting period could be the difference between a forever home and a tragedy.
