Multipurpose Communication Centre

Multipurpose Communication Centre MCC will train students from high schools through to college with communication skills (mainly spoken and written English). One workshop every two months.

This will help improve academic results, communication skills in general, and competency of young people. MCC is giving these students an opportunity to voice their ideas and improve their communities. The organization will be working with public schools in Free State. MCC will deliver the following:
Career Resource website for the students to access a database of career information: bursary form

s and application forms
Dictionaries and English language materials: We will provide 100 dictionaries and reading books. Debate workshops: We will host 2 debating and public speaking workshops. Food will be provided. Mentoring: Hold 2 mentoring Meet-up workshops. One workshop every 3 months. Food will be provided
Career counseling: 2 career counseling meet-up once in six months and transport will be provided for students as they will meet in one central location. Food will be provided
A feeling of workplace environment twice as part of career counseling. Reading clubs and English communication workshops will run every Saturday from the second month of operation (February 2013)

MCC will work with community partners to provide the following:

Provision of the building to house the Centre: the school will host the Centre in one of their free classrooms for weekly workshops only. That is reading clubs and English communication workshops. Refreshments during events: students will provide their own food during regular weekly workshops only. Funds: provision of funds for sustainability
