Carrol Boyes Partners with CANSA for Limited-Edition Pink Legacy Pen 🩷

Every October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month brings renewed attention to the impact of breast cancer and the importance of awareness, prevention and early detection. It is a cause Carrol Boyes has long supported, and this year, the design house is putting pen to purpose.

In partnership with CANSA’s ‘Purchase with Purpose’ campaign, Carrol Boyes is introducing a limited-edition Pink Legacy Pen for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

ALSAC Visits CANSA TLC: Strengthening Partnerships for Children with Cancer

We were honoured to welcome the team from ALSAC, including Silvia Passoni, Drew Phillips and Piera Lesure, to CANSA TLC/Nicus Lodge for a meaningful visit filled with connection, learning, and shared purpose.

The visit provided an opportunity to exchange ideas, reflect on the challenges facing children and families affected by cancer, and explore ways to strengthen support services for those who need them most. Conversations like these remind us of the power of collaboration and the impact that can be achieved when organisations unite around a common goal.

At CANSA TLC, we believe that strong partnerships are built on trust, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to improving the lives of children, teenagers, and their families. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from ALSAC's global experience and to share the passion and dedication of the people behind our work.

As we recently observed World Ostomy (Stoma) Day, we recognise the experiences of people living with a stoma and the importance of access to information, practical support, and quality care.

At CANSA, we support ostomates through our dedicated stoma services, providing stoma products and accessories through our stoma clinics, as well as stoma-specific counselling and guidance countrywide through our Tele Stoma support service.

We're also highlighting the story of Gary, a cancer survivor, who has shared his journey in Life on the Left Side: Living Fully With an Ostomy Bag. Through an honest and conversational account of his diagnosis, surgery, and life with an ostomy, Gary offers practical advice and reassurance on topics such as body image, bag care, returning to work, sport, travel, and relationships. It is the kind of resource he wishes had been available when he first began his own journey.

As Gary shares: “To everyone with a stoma or new to the journey – be patient and thankful that you are still alive. Things will get better.”
