DON'T BE A FREEMASON!

If you want rest, don't be a Freemason, as the Freemason's work must be continuous. If you want to benefit, do not be a Freemason, as the Freemason must first promote benefits to and for the benefit of others.

If you want peace, don't be a Freemason, as the Freemason must be in constant war against vices.

If you are selfish, don't be a Freemason, because, for a Freemason, sharing must be a habit.

If you only think about yourself, don't be a Freemason, because thinking only about yourself is unfeasible and the Freemason must think and act for everyone.

If you want to get rich, don't be a Freemason, because a Freemason's wealth is not valued by his assets, but by his attitudes.

If you are arrogant, never be a Freemason, as humility must be a constant virtue, demonstrated at all times.

If you are too religious, do not be a Freemason, as the Freemason must be tolerant of his religious differences.

If you don't believe in God, forget it, there is no way to be a Freemason, because Freemasons do nothing without first invoking Him.

If you like the luxuries that the world provides, don't be a Freemason, as Freemasons must ignore them, since they are temporary.

If you are simply part of something, don't be a Freemason, because a Freemason cannot just be part of it, he must work to make a difference.

If you want to be a Freemason, don't try to be the worst or the best, just be yourself.

If you are arrogant, do not be a Freemason, because contempt is a symptom of evil and evil is the Freemason's main enemy.

If you are negligent, don't be a Freemason, as initiative must be remarkable in a Freemason.

If you are prejudiced, do not be a Freemason, as equality must be a prominent pillar in the life of a Freemason.

But if you want to help improve yourself and help improve the world, then your place is here, as a FREEMASON.

We are pleased to announce that we are opening our Grand Lodge 𝓪𝓷𝓭 lodges across the world to the public in February 2026.

Over 𝟵𝟬𝟬 Lodges under the Scottish Constitution, from Dingwall to Durban will be opening their doors to the public early next year.

We invite visitors to explore our historic meeting halls, learn about the principles and traditions of Scottish Freemasonry, and discover our ongoing charitable contributions to communities in Scotland and beyond.

It is hoped that this initiative will bring lodges to the forefront of local communities.

To mark the end of this fantastic initiative, we will also be opening the doors to the Grand Lodge of Scotland on February 28th.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the magnificent Grand Hall, museum, library, and other public areas, gaining insight into the ongoing community contributions and rich heritage of Scottish Freemasonry.
