Anchor of Hope Ministries is a registered NPO, no 67556, which concentrate on the social and spiritual upliftment of the very poor - irrespective of age, gender, ability, political background or race. Anchor of Hope is the main organization which is divided into four sub-divisions. Each of these sub-divisions has its own manager, staff and expertise, but has the same board of directors and constit
ution. The names of the sub-divisions are:
1) Special Projects,
2) Pregnancy Crisis Centre ,
3) Carpentry and upholstery,
4) Sewing,
5) Infrastructure maintenance,
6) Training - POPUP, Each of these divisions concentrate on it’s own field of expertise within the community of Bloemfontein and surrounding areas. The focus area of the different divisions are as follows:
1) Projects :
Food and clothing to the poor and other organizations, feeding schemes, community and social programs with the SAPS and correctional services.
2) Pregnancy Crisis Centre:
Pre and post abortion counseling, information sessions at tertiary institutions, training for counselors and temporary accommodation for pregnant mothers and new born babies.
