Theory in Action! 

Our Grade 9 Learn4Life group explored the theory of Active Citizenship, Leadership and Volunteerism; unpacking what it means to be an engaged, responsible and positive contributor to their school and community.

Through discussion and reflection, learners discovered that leadership isn’t only about having a title; it’s about taking initiative, making responsible choices, speaking up for what is right, and being willing to serve others. 💪🏾

Today’s lesson is about more than theory, it’s about preparing young people to become changemakers who see a need, take action and inspire others to do the same.

FROM AWARENESS TO ACTION! 🔥

At Lekhulong Secondary School, our Changemakers are proving that protecting our environment isn't just something we talk about; it's something we do! 💪🏾🌍

Through their Environmental Awareness & Protection and Community Action Plan, the Lekhulong Changemakers took the initiative to encourage positive environmental practices and inspire their peers to play their part in keeping their school community clean. 🧹

Every piece of litter picked up, every conversation started and every peer inspired is a step towards a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable environment. 🌍

Because change doesn't happen by itself, it happens when we choose to take action. 🙌🏾

At Blooming Buds Foundation, we believe that environmental awareness is not just about talking about change; it’s about taking action!

During school break time at Kaelang Secondary School, our MCN Changemakers turned the break into a 2-for-1 community action experience:
They shared SPARK magazines with their peers, creating opportunities for learning, awareness and positive conversations 📚
They then rolled up their sleeves and led a litter-picking clean-up around the school 🧹, with the invaluable support of the NYS5 servers. 🙌🏾

From sharing knowledge to cleaning our environment, our Changemakers are showing that small actions can create meaningful change. 🌍

Better late than never!

Our Grade 8 Learn4Life group has officially kicked off their Term 3 journey; and what better way to get started than by taking the learning outdoors!

Today’s session was all about preparing for their upcoming project work presentation, guided by their STEM Through Sport project planning map. Learners stepped outside the classroom to collaborate, exchange ideas and explore the fascinating connections between Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and the world of sport.

From the science behind athletic performance to the technology, engineering and mathematics that help shape modern sport, our learners are discovering that STEM is all around us; and that their passions can open doors to exciting future careers. 🏃🏾‍♀️⚽🔬💻

At Blooming Buds Foundation, we believe learning doesn't have to be confined to four walls. By creating interactive and practical learning experiences, we encourage young people to explore, question, collaborate and connect what they learn today with the possibilities of tomorrow.

The journey has begun, and we can't wait to see what our Grade 8 learners bring to their project presentations! 🚀

WEEKLY ROUND-UP | NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE PROJECT – PHASE 5

This week has been all about showing up, lending a hand, and making a difference!

Our Education Support Agents have been hard at work across different areas; from administrative support and keeping things organised, to environmental clean-ups that help create cleaner, healthier learning spaces. 🧹🌿

And of course, there’s no better way to serve than by making sure our learners are well cared for; including dishing up meals and supporting learners during mealtimes. 🍽️😊

Every task, big or small, contributes to a stronger, more supportive school environment. We’re proud of the energy, commitment and spirit of service our agents continue to bring each day.

Learning, leading and inspiring through STEM! 🎤🌍

Today, our Grade 9 Learn4Life learners proudly showcased their project presentations to their peers, bringing to life the knowledge and inspiration gained from their Naval Hill Planetarium excursion.

Working in teams, the learners shared what they discovered about astronomy, space science and innovation, while exploring the wide range of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) career opportunities available to young people. They confidently connected their learning experiences to future career aspirations, demonstrating critical thinking, teamwork, research and public speaking skills.

The presentations were more than just a classroom activity; they were an opportunity for learners to inspire one another, ask questions, exchange ideas and begin imagining themselves as the scientists, engineers, technologists and innovators of tomorrow.

At Blooming Buds Foundation, we are proud to create learning experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence and prepare young people to make informed decisions about their education and future careers.

Building strong study habits today for successful STEM careers tomorrow! 📖🎓

Today our Grade 10 Learn4Life learners kicked off Term 3 by preparing for their upcoming project presentations, where they'll explore how effective study methods are the foundation for achieving success in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) careers.

Drawing inspiration from their recent Naval Hill Planetarium excursion, learners worked in teams to research exciting STEM career pathways while reflecting on the study habits, discipline and perseverance needed to thrive in these fields. From time management and active recall to goal setting and collaborative learning, they are discovering that academic success begins with the right mindset and consistent effort.

At Blooming Buds Foundation, we are committed to equipping young people not only with career knowledge, but also with the practical learning skills that empower them to reach their full potential.

We can't wait to see our Grade 10 learners bring their ideas to life during next week's presentations!
