A big thank you to Dihlabeng Local Municipality 💚
We don't say it often enough, so today we want to say it loud: thank you, Dihlabeng Local Municipality, for the partnership you've built with Make Bethlehem Beautiful.
Over time, the municipality has approved many of the projects MBB has taken on, projects that, honestly, plenty of other municipalities would simply have turned down. That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because there are officials in Dihlabeng who genuinely care about this town.
Some of them go out on a limb to help us get things done, and it isn't always easy for them. We see it, and we appreciate it.
Here's what we believe: Bethlehem can only be turned around if the public and the municipality work together. It doesn't matter who's in government. What matters is the town, its people, and the streets we all share. Bethlehem needs all the help it can get, just like so many other towns across South Africa.
So when an organisation like ours finds officials who actually want to work with us, why not give credit where it's due? 🙌
South Africa will get a lot more done if we start encouraging each other instead of tearing each other down. Let's be the town that shows how it's done.
To every official who has picked up the phone, signed off on a project, or simply said "let's make it work": thank you.
Bethlehem is better because of you. 🌳
