INDAWO YOSIZO FOUNDATION MARKS MANDELA DAY WITH WARMTH, HEALTH AND DIGNITY IN BETHAL
In the spirit of service, Indawo Yosizo Foundation commemorated Nelson Mandela International Day on Thursday, 24 July 2026 with a Blanket, Soup, Health and Care Outreach Programme at Songancoma Service Centre, Bethal.
The event brought warmth, healthcare, and dignity directly to vulnerable community members, including the elderly, children, and people living with disabilities.
We are grateful to our partners and stakeholders who made this possible:
1. Enpower Machite - for generously donating 70 blankets to keep beneficiaries warm during the winter season.
2. The local Choice Pharmacy cosmos- for providing free High Blood Pressure screenings and health education, helping community members take charge of their health.
3. Shandu Tents - for providing mobile toilets on the day, ensuring comfort and dignity for all attendees.
4. Department of Social Development - for engaging with elderly beneficiaries and sharing information on support services.
5. IEC - for civic education and voter information support.
6. eMzini FM and Dope Hot and Fresh Media Teams - for coverage and amplifying the message of service.
Mandela taught us that it is in our hands to make a difference. Enpower Machite gave warmth, Local Choice Pharmacy gave health, and Shandu Tents gave dignity. To Social Development, IEC, eMzini FM and Dope Hot and Fresh: Thank you for standing with us. Together we honoured Tata Madiba by serving one person at a time.
Activities on the day included:
A Kiddies Corner where children read books and did colouring ,Thank you Bethal Mall for providing crayons.
A Clothes Shopping Drive where beneficiaries chose free clothes.
Distribution of sanitary pads, and serving of hot soup, bread and oranges.
