And just when you think your heart can't break anymore....😥
There he was.
He trusted me.
What I saw in those eyes was years of neglect.
The sores on his emaciated body showing a cold, hard floor all his life.
The ticks and mange, a sign of his neglected needs.
But I also saw love, hope and a longing to be touched.
He wasn't sure what he wanted more...food or a soft hand.
I couldn't stop my tears...
he knew and I knew that his tragic life was about to change.
Thank you Lord 🙏

And thank you TAG- The Animal Guardians, for taking in this very special boy.
We named him Freddi.
Please, please let's give this precious and gentle boy the chance to become a treasured family member. 🙏🐾

Yesterday, I met Jesus. 😁☺️

I followed a very thin, lactating doggy into a junkyard at the back of beyond.
The owner, whose name was Jesus, took me to her puppies.
It didn't take long to gain his trust.. I'm well blessed at this🙏
He pointed out another heavily pregnant female dog, and a large male - living like Hugh Hefner 😁
Within twenty minutes, I was able to persuade him to let me take the 9 puppies once they're weaned, and sterilise the mommy. Same with the pregnant one, who has had more than her share of litters. 😔

They're not on chains.
They seem to have good tempraments and Jesus is very grateful for the unexpected intervention ☺️🙏

Boksburg SPCA Charity Shop
has offered to step in and assist me.
In just twenty minutes, we've ensured that no less than 18 junkyard puppies and 2 mommies, will not be
breeding and populating the area. Sorry Hugh Hefner 😁🐾

I never ask for financial assistance. All my costs are paid out of my own pocket.
But, Please, please, can you spare even the smallest of donations to Boksburg SPCA. 🙏🙏🙏
A sterilisation costs R650.
If we can raise R1300, we'll be helping to prevent 2 females from producing hundreds of unwanted dogs.

From the moment i saw her, I knew i was going to change her sad life.. and I named her Rezzi, because of where she was located.
It took time, but I eventually rescued Rezzi from a very harsh life, surviving outside in these terrible storms, with no real shelter, tick riddled, and little to no food... craving love and human contact.

Please 🙏 give her the chance to be a family member....loved and protected.
Thank you Boksburg SPCA, for always taking in the precious little beings that I bring in from terrible situations. 💜🐾🙏

If you are unable to adopt a Rezzi or a Thor or a Snoopy, can you at least please give a little donation to Boksburg SPCA Charity Shop , and be a part of every doggie or Kittie that needs to find a home, or is kept safely there until it finds its way home. 🙏💜🐾

I've rescued hundreds of dogs ...
Each one has a special place in my heart.
But THIS girl...😪
The moment I saw her... my heart shattered. She went
to a deep, deep space there.

Broken. Starving. Neglected. Flea-ridden.
The cage sores, a testimony of her cramped, concrete life.
Her teats, suckled to leather from over breeding. An abscess oozing like a volcano from her chest.
The the scars all over her face...I can only imagine 😪
And in spite of her miserable life..
She trusted
She loved
She danced around my legs
She licked my face
She jumped into my bakkie as though it was home and then fell asleep on my lap.
She knew I'd come to rescue her.

She was diagnosed with cancer. She had tumours on her teats. Her cruciate ligaments were torn and she was in pain.

We gave her a few days...
To know love.
Have a full tummy.
Sleep on a soft bed and run on grass.

My heart is shattered...💔🐾💔
Not because we had to end her suffering...but for the miserable life she had to endure whilst she was alive 😪
We can't hold her owner accountable... my safety is at risk. But I'll make sure he never owns another dog.

Thank you Boksburg SPCA Charity Shop for letting me bring her to safety, and for giving Bella a few days of love and comfort.
Thank you Victoria, for letting her leave peacefully and with dignity.

BATHATHE RODE SH***UN 😥 🌈
For those that don't know, when I take a dog to be euthanased, I say, it "rode sh***un"
I always put them next to me on my bakkie seat, sothat I can stroke them and talk to them lovingly.

I had bumped into his owner on one of my township visits, and he told me that Bathathe was battling.
Fortunately I went to check and saw that he had re**al cancer. We agreed that it was time for Bathathe to be put out of his suffering.
I loaded him next to me.. Richard said his goodbyes.

It's never an easy trip when a doggie rides sh***un. 😪

I held him close as his head gently dropped when he crossed his rainbow bridge 🌈

UPDATE ON SPIKE 🐾🐾
Looking grumpy and not at all impressed with his " Collar of Shame" 😁.
He went home today, after extensive surgery on the laceration. The tumour on his testicle still has to be removed. It is a matter of urgency, because it's a fast growing cancer and it has to be removed in the next 2 months.
Please, please can I appeal for funds help this special boy. 🙏🙏

SPIKE NEEDS YOUR HELP 🙏
He is one of my outreach dogs in Luthuli township and his owners are good and kind to him.
Spikey is such a beautiful and gentle boy.
He ripped his leg in an unfortunate accident and they don't have enough to pay for the op, which needs more than simple suturing, because infection has already set in.
They have contributed R1000 and that is really all they can afford, and an indication of how much they love him.
He also has a tumour on his testicle, which will need attention in the next month or two.
The vet has quoted around R6,000 for both ops, but right now, we need R3,000 to get Spikey fixed, before infection sets in further and causes septiceamia.🙏🙏🙏
We already have R2000.
