BATHATHE RODE SHOTGUN 😥 🌈
For those that don't know, when I take a dog to be euthanased, I say, it "rode shotgun"
I always put them next to me on my bakkie seat, sothat I can stroke them and talk to them lovingly.

I had bumped into his owner on one of my township visits, and he told me that Bathathe was battling.
Fortunately I went to check and saw that he had re**al cancer. We agreed that it was time for Bathathe to be put out of his suffering.
I loaded him next to me.. Richard said his goodbyes.

It's never an easy trip when a doggie rides shotgun. 😪

I held him close as his head gently dropped when he crossed his rainbow bridge 🌈

UPDATE ON SPIKE 🐾🐾
Looking grumpy and not at all impressed with his " Collar of Shame" 😁.
He went home today, after extensive surgery on the laceration. The tumour on his testicle still has to be removed. It is a matter of urgency, because it's a fast growing cancer and it has to be removed in the next 2 months.
Please, please can I appeal for funds help this special boy. 🙏🙏

SPIKE NEEDS YOUR HELP 🙏
He is one of my outreach dogs in Luthuli township and his owners are good and kind to him.
Spikey is such a beautiful and gentle boy.
He ripped his leg in an unfortunate accident and they don't have enough to pay for the op, which needs more than simple suturing, because infection has already set in.
They have contributed R1000 and that is really all they can afford, and an indication of how much they love him.
He also has a tumour on his testicle, which will need attention in the next month or two.
The vet has quoted around R6,000 for both ops, but right now, we need R3,000 to get Spikey fixed, before infection sets in further and causes septiceamia.🙏🙏🙏
We already have R2000.

But fortunately he didn't make the fighter grade...so it seems, he was ready to be sold, or end up as dogbait.

To my eyes and ears in that area, thank you for helping me to get this gentle, tender boy out in time 🙏🐾🙏

We changed his
"fighter" name from Scorpion to Scorpii... the brightest constellation in the sky. 🌟🌟Thank you Lee-Ann. that was so clever 🥰
Scorpii is about 9 months old and believe it or not, he is good with other dogs, loves being loved and even ignored the SPCA cat that ventured up to him.

He is going to be quite a big boy, but he has short, stocky legs.. too adorable for words.

Let's get him a home PLEEEEEEZE !!!🙏🙏🐾
