Residents are urged to remain vigilant following an increase in housebreaking and theft.

Please take a few extra minutes to ensure that doors, gates, windows, alarms, lighting and other security measures are properly secured and in working order. Avoid leaving valuable items visible in yards, driveways or open areas, and remain alert to suspicious behaviour in your neighbourhood.

All incidents and suspicious activity should be reported to SAPS.

2 suspects apprehended last night in Airfield with stolen goods: 2 x 48kg gas bottles, 1 x 9kg gas bottle, jewellery, TV, other electronics, clothing, bedding, curtains, food etc.
Suspects were arrested and taken to Benoni SAPS, all items were taken and booked into SAPS 13, at this point, address of break-in still unknown.

Thanks to all that assisted! Together we can fight the criminals and bring down the crime in our area!

The Benoni Community Policing Forum is proud to present Issue 02 of The Benoni CPF Chronicle.

The Chronicle continues to provide a platform to keep our community informed, connected and engaged by highlighting the work taking place across Benoni. Through this publication, we aim to recognise the dedication of our volunteers, the strength of our partnerships and the initiatives that continue to make a positive difference within our community.

Theft of a cellphone from a business in Oak str, Northmead around 15h30 this afternoon.

Suspect: 1 x BM, tall and slender in build. No futher description.
Suspect vehicle: White Hyundai I20.

This morning *AN* from Sector 3 CPF, spotted the suspect vehicle in Boksburg. The suspects were allegedly involved in shoplifting and theft at Rynfield Terrace Shopping Centre, Benoni on Tuesday, 07/07/2026.

proceeded to the location and suspects were successfully detained, while keeping in contact with SAPS to ensure information is shared and linked to open cases.

Suspects and vehicle handed over to SAPS for further investigation.

The Benoni Community Policing Forum is proud to present the inaugural edition of The Benoni CPF Chronicle.

This publication has been created to keep our community informed, connected and engaged by showcasing the work being done across all sectors of the Benoni CPF.

From community initiatives and volunteer efforts to important safety information and local events, the Chronicle aims to highlight the people and partnerships that continue to make a positive difference in our community.

This first edition features a message from our Chairperson, sector spotlights, coverage of the Benoni CPF Youth Day Soccer Tournament, community initiatives, emergency contact information and much more.
