Established in 2012, this project is focused on the animals in Etwatwa township on the East Rand, where we provide the community with access to a broad range of veterinary services for their pets mainly dogs and cats. We also distribute 1000kg of dog and cat food monthly to feed over 150 animals from households that survive below the bread line. Our volunteers are residents of the community who have been trained in basic pet care and animal husbandry. We have equipped these community volunteers with practical know-how and means which they can use to help the animals of their immediate community. This includes an ongoing transfer of knowledge and education on the basics of pet care, and a proactive approach to dealing with fundamental aspects such as sterilization, vaccination and deworming of the animals. We also educate the community on how to deal with animals involved in emergency situations such as injuries and poisonings. Through our volunteers we also aim to provide animals with acceptable standards in living conditions given the community's poverty stricken circumstances. Furthermore, our volunteers are ambassadors for animal welfare and aim to engender a profound love of animals across the spectrum of the community and focusing especially on the children.

This Week’s Sterilisation Heroes 🐾❤️

6 Etwatwa township Kitty Kats sterilised this week! 🐱✨

And it’s all thanks to our amazing, loyal sponsors and the incredible welfare-friendly vets who continue to stand beside us.

None of this ongoing work would be possible without partnerships between like-minded people who care deeply about animals — people who give their time, their finances, their skills and, most importantly, their hearts. ❤️

Together, we are preventing unwanted litters, reducing suffering and giving animals a better chance at a safe and healthier life.

6 cats. 6 lives changed. And countless more lives prevented from being born into hardship.

Thank you to everyone who makes this possible. 🙏🐾

This is what happens when we work together ❤️

🥶 TONIGHT COULD BE A MATTER OF LIFE OR DEATH FOR SOME PETS. 🐾

Gauteng is facing an extreme cold front tonight, with severe weather warnings issued.

Please — DON’T LEAVE YOUR DOGS OR CATS OUT IN THE COLD.
A kennel is not always enough. A chain is not shelter. And a cold, wet night can be devastating for vulnerable animals.

Bring them inside, give them warm, dry bedding and make sure they are protected from the elements.

They have no choice. We do. ❤️

Please share — someone’s pet may be depending on this message tonight. 🐾

🎄🐾 HELP US GIVE A TOWNSHIP DOGGY OR KITTY A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER! 🐾🎄 SPONSOR via Santa Cause for Paws

For many of these precious souls, Christmas won’t mean presents under a tree or a special feast. It simply means another day of trying to survive. 💔

But YOU can change that. 🥹❤️

A small sponsorship can help us give them food, treats, love and a little Christmas joy — something they so dearly deserve. 🎁🐶🐱

✨ Sponsor a township doggy or kitty this Christmas.
✨ Give them a reason to wag a tail or purr.
✨ Give them the gift of kindness.

Every sponsorship makes a difference. ❤️

🎄 Please help us make Christmas magical for the animals of Etwatwa Township. 🎄

🐾 Because every dog deserves a full tummy, every kitty deserves a warm heart, and every one of them deserves to know they are loved. ❤️
