Hi everyone, apologies for the lack of feedback on progress regarding the Benoni Town Hall. If truth be told there hasn’t been a lot to report back on. The wheels turn slowly at the best of times!
The good news is that we are still at it and 100% committed in our efforts to engage with the City of Ekurhuleni on a deal to restore, lease and maintain this treasure.
We are aiming to get a meeting with CoE in the next two weeks. In the meantime our NPC is busy sorting out a bank account and have had a valuation done and now has a Constitution. All issues that needed to be put in place.
Please share our group to all your contacts. If and when we get to make a start, we will need a broad base of followers. Let’s build that base now. Many thanks.

Massive thanks to community cleanup groups Homestead Helpers and Heart of Benoni and all who helped them tackle the pavements around the Benoni Swimming Pool this morning. The pool itself is also looking wonderful. We will work with these groups wherever possible to clean up our precinct.

Major clean-up of the pavements around our Town Hall took place this morning. Very big ‘Thank you’ to Clean Projects Benoni and The Elevation Hub for bringing your equipment and teams and getting this done. What a transformation!
Thanks also to Heidi for donating paint and labour for the painting the front of the small garage building on Turvey St.
Lastly, ‘Thanks’ to all those residents and supporters of CP for turning out in force and making a difference!!!!

In conjuction with Clean Projects and The Elevation Hub, Benoni Town Hall Revival will be undertaking a clean up of the pavements surrounding the Town Hall. Please come past on Sat morning 20th Jan and say Hi and watch the transformation take place.

Hi there everyone. Thanks again for the interest shown in the Benoni Town Hall Revival as well as the kind words and numerous offers to be involved. Fantastic to know that there is such support out there.
As we enter a new and exciting year, we look forward to being able to get to assist the City of Ekurhuleni with reviving this special building for the benefit of all our communities.
Next week we will request some assistance with a few specific skills that we need.
For now, please check out our website and share our posts. We need to build a solid base of supporters.
Lastly, BTHR wishes everyone a happy and successful 2024. Let’s all make a positive difference wherever we can!

Hi to all, a big ‘Thanks’ for your support and comments. It’s something still close to many of our hearts.
The photos of the current state were included just to highlight the reality and the need for some action. While it is frustrating, let’s try to park the negative criticism for now. What’s past, is past. Let’s all look ahead positively on how we can make this facility work again for every community in Benoni and beyond.
All councils, country wide are battling to keep up with the demands on them. Regardless of why, we are offering to be part of the solution. We have to help.
