Overview

The Educational System has for a while been focused on creating more graduates in various fields. There has not been investment in knowledge formation and development of independent thinking over careers. Many young people have studied and completed without an understanding the possible outcomes of their schooling journey. The country stands with a challenge with large number of graduates that are yet to be employed. Many companies and governmental positions requires experience unfortunately the education system offers little chance for exposure.

Several opportunities have been created by the government to engage youth and graduates to gain experience through internship programmes. The programmes has not yielded the necessary outcomes to all as in some programmes there is lack of clear Key performance indicators and Key Performance Areas which are coupled by lack of supervision. The exposure to working environment is not achieved fully. Tshikovha Graduates Academy is a Non-Profit Organisation which has been created to respond to the

challenges of graduates’ integration to the working environment.

The organisation aims to be the link between the employers and the graduates who seek to be employed. The Academy will absorb graduates of various fields and will undergo training on employment expertise which includes administration, management, leadership, human resources and harnessing the skills for specific jobs. Any organization or government looking for employees will submit their requirements and will enter into agreement with Tshikovha Graduates Academy to provide specific training on a specific scope of work outlined in the duties anticipated.
