Today we visited the St Francis Care Centre in Boksburg. This is a private care facility that cares for the aged as well as for young little orphans and abandoned children.

The St Francis Care Centre is not getting any government funding and is relying purely on private funding.

They have 31 old frail, sick, bed ridden and even blind male and female residents.

Most of them are forgotten by family, friends and society. The staff at St Francis are providing as much care as what resources will permit. They are all caring and dedicated to all the aged and kids in their facility, but can only do so much.

Today The Gracious Gift Foundation did an outreach at this centre providing each of the residents, kids and elderly with a care pack.

The kiddies got a care pack containing soft toys such as teddies, toys and a lucky packet containing sweeties whilst our senior citizens each got a care pack containing toiletries such as soap, face clotch, toothpaste and tooth brush as well as Vaseline.

The pure gratefulness from hugs, tears and thank you's were overwhelming from our senior citizens and the pure joy from the kiddies makes this so worthwhile.

This was such an emotional day which has inspired us to push so much harder for donations to try and do much more.

There are thousands if forgotten senior citizens that are destitute out there and is discarded by their families as well as abandoned and abused kids and orphans all in dire need if care.

We SALUTE you St Francis and all those other foundations trying to bring some relief to the needy and desperate.

We can all do so much more if we really want to.

We are our brothers keeper.
