💛Pauridia capensis in yellow!💛

We are beyond excited to see this beautiful species flourishing at the Tygerberg Wetlands especially in areas where invasives were removed. 🌱

Masses of these vibrant yellow flowers have emerged, reminding us just how powerful and rewarding restoration efforts can be.

What a wonderful find and a true testament to the resilience of nature! 🌱

Let’s keep pushing forward in our mission to restore and protect these precious ecosystems. Every small step makes a big difference!

A huge thank you to the Welgedacht Estate team for their incredible support in helping the Tygerberg Wetlands Association and our neighborhood! 🌱

They worked hard preparing rehabilitation circles and began creating security access pathways along the border fence.

Our local wetland is important to care for, as healthy wetlands:

💧 Filter and clean polluted water
💧 Play a crucial role in flood mitigation
💧 Store significant amounts of carbon
💧 Support a rich diversity of plant and animal life

Together, we can preserve these natural landscapes for future generations! 🌱💚.
