Gift of Sight Trust The Gift of Sight Trust is working together to eliminate avoidable blindness in people who cannot afford private health care

The Gift of Sight Trust was formed by Dr Johann Krüger and Marinda Holtzhausen with the aim of prevention and treatment of avoidable blindness in people who are unable to afford Private Health Care or have been waiting for years for treatment at Public Health Care facilities.

Before my operation, I was blind. I had lost my sight, and with it came fear, uncertainty, and many difficult days.

Today, after my successful operation with Dr Rautenbach, I can see again - and my life has changed in a way words can hardly describe. I can now clearly see the details even on the leaves outside.

To the Gift of Sight Trust, thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me this life-changing surgery. Thank you for helping me regain not only my sight, but also my independence, my confidence, and my hope.

To Dr Rautenbach and the incredible team, thank you for your skill, kindness, and care. Because of you, I am no longer blind.

This is more than an operation. It is a second chance to see the faces of the people I love, to move through life with dignity, and to look forward to the future again.
