Every child deserves a chance to be safe.

Our Baby Saver Boxes provide a safe, anonymous alternative for mothers in crisis and a second chance at life for vulnerable babies. Through these boxes, lives have already been savedβ€”but now we need your help to continue this vital work.

We have launched a fundraising campaign to help us:
βœ… Build and install more Baby Saver Boxes
βœ… Maintain and improve existing boxes
βœ… Continue the fight to protect and preserve Baby Saver Boxes through the current court proceedings

Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us continue this mission. Together, we can ensure that no mother feels she has no option and no baby is left without hope.

Today, we are not only raising fundsβ€”we are standing up for the future of a life-saving initiative that has already given many babies a second chance at life.

Please consider donating and sharing our campaign with your friends, family, and networks.

Shifting from Panic to Planning: The Inceba Guide to a Peaceful Budget πŸ«™πŸ’°

Talking about money when times are tough can feel incredibly heavy. For many parents, looking at a wallet feels less like planning and more like facing a storm.

At our latest Inceba Empowerment Session, we pulled back the curtain on financial stress. We realized that budgeting isn’t about being a perfect accountant or judging how you spend your cash, it’s about regaining control and protecting your peace.

To make it simple, we took the "Jar of Life" concept from our time-management workshop and applied it directly to our rands. We taught our moms how to sort their money into three clear containers before the month even begins:

1. πŸͺ¨ The Big Rocks (Your Fixed Foundations)

These are the non-negotiables that keep your family safe, housed, and working. They must go into your money jar first.

Examples: Rent (Huis), transport to work or school, water and electricity, and childcare.

2. πŸŒ‘ The Pebbles (Your Daily Nourishment)

These are the essentials that keep your home clean, healthy, and fed. They roll beautifully into the gaps around your big rocks.

Examples: Groceries (Kos like pap, rice, or bread), toiletries, cleaning supplies, and nappies.

3. ⏳ The Sand (The Small Extras)

These are the tiny comforts that fill the leftover spaces. They aren't bad, but we have to be careful that they don't accidentally swallow the money meant for the Big Rocks first!

Examples: Loose sweets, cooldrink, loto ticket or small takeaway treats.

The Golden Rule: Budgeting with Water πŸ’§

The biggest takeaway from our session? A budget is not a prison sentence; it is simply a map. And just like any good map, it needs plenty of water, which means grace for ourselves when life throws an unexpected curveball. If a taxi price goes up or a child needs medicine, we don't give up; we just adjust our sand for the next week.

A massive thank you to our incredible volunteer team who held babies, prepped tea, and guarded the peace of the room so our moms could focus fully on their growth!

✨ Did you miss this session? Don't parent alone. Keep an eye out for our next Skills Development gathering on June 25th as we talk about,

Some parents do not abandon their babies because they do not care, many are facing overwhelming fear, trauma, desperation, or lack of support. πŸ’”

Some of the reasons baby abandonment happens include:

β€’ Teen pregnancy and fear of parents or community judgment
β€’ Poverty and financial hardship
β€’ Lack of emotional or family support
β€’ Abuse or toxic home environments
β€’ Mental health struggles, depression, or emotional overwhelm
β€’ Fear and panic after giving birth
β€’ Substance abuse or unstable living conditions
β€’ Feeling unable to cope with the responsibility of parenting
β€’ Concealed or denied pregnancies
β€’ Lack of education about available support and safe alternatives

This is why Baby Savers and support organisations are so important. They provide a safe alternative and can save lives. No mother should feel completely alone, hopeless, or without options. 🀍

At we believe in compassion, support, education, and protecting both mothers and babies.

3-Month-Old Baby Found Abandoned Near Train Station

A heartbreaking discovery was made on Tuesday morning after a three-month-old baby was found abandoned near a train station.

According to community members, the infant was allegedly left alone in the area before being discovered cold, hungry, and crying.

Concerned residents quickly assisted the child and alerted emergency services.

The baby was reportedly taken for urgent medical care and placed under protection while authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police and child protection officials are expected to investigate the matter further.
