From New Zealand to South Africa, making a difference through God’s Word!

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Neels Janse van Rensburg, CEO of Bible Society New Zealand, and his wife, Jeanine, to see first-hand how their support is helping change young lives in South Africa.

Through their generous funding, our Bibles for Grade 7 learners and Bible-based literacy projects help children access Scripture, build essential reading skills and grow in their understanding of God’s Word.

Together with Bible Society staff, the couple visited schools and communities in Khayelitsha, Porterville and the Paarl district, taking part in Bible and literacy booklet distributions and hearing directly from teachers and learners about the impact of these initiatives.

“We want to ensure that the Bible is bringing about transformation in children’s lives,” Neels shared.

Every Bible distributed, every child reached and every partnership strengthened brings us closer to making God’s Word accessible to all.

Thank you, Bible Society New Zealand, for helping us invest in the next generation through Bible distribution and literacy development in South Africa! 💙

𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗔𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗔: A very special thank you goes out to Lux Mundi RECA (and Hannelie Evans) in Perth, Australia, who organised another Run • Walk for Bibles event this year.

A wonderful group of church members participated in either a 5 km or 10 km run/walk on Saturday, 3 October 2026, at Neil Hawkins Park in Joondalup, where everyone enjoyed refreshments afterwards. Together they raised R52 000 for a meaningful cause. Every step was taken with a purpose: helping to make God’s Word accessible to more people in South Africa.

Thank you to everyone who participated on the day, as well as to all those who worked behind the scenes to make the event possible. We are deeply grateful. May God bless you all and your church.

Daily reminder: You are deeply loved by God.

Zephaniah 3:17 is our Scripture-based reminder that God is not distant from us. He is ever-present; he saves and delights in his people. Even during uncertain seasons, we can find comfort in knowing that the Mighty Warrior is with us.

Today, hold on to this promise: God is with you, his love surrounds you and he rejoices over you.

Who needs this encouragement today? Share this Scripture with someone who could use the reminder. 🙏

Faith speaks through barriers

This Deaf Awareness Month, we celebrate the power of God’s Word to reach every heart.
As part of our Scripture Beyond Silence campaign, the Bible Society of South Africa recently visited the Dominican School for Deaf Children and distributed 205 Bibles to grateful young learners. Watching their excitement as they received Bibles of their own was a beautiful reminder of why accessible Scripture matters.

This distribution was made possible by the generosity of our donors, whose support is helping us take God’s Word beyond barriers and into the hands of those who need it.

There are still many more people waiting for a Bible.

Your donation can help make the next Bible distribution possible. Together, we can ensure that everyone has the opportunity to encounter the life-giving message of God’s Word in a format they can understand and engage with.

This Heritage Month, we join South Africa in celebrating the beautiful diversity of our country, cultures, languages and the heritage we carry from one generation to the next.

Revelation 7:9 (NIV) gives us an even greater picture: every nation, tribe, people and language united before the Lamb of Jesus Christ.

Although cultures and languages differ, in God’s Word, there is a place for each one of us.

76 young lives reached with God’s Word.

There was great excitement at Simondium Primary School, a rural school nestled between Paarl and Franschhoek, as 76 learners received their very own Bibles through our Bibles for Grade 7 Learners project.

For these young people, receiving a personal Bible means having God’s Word to turn to for guidance as they step into the next chapter of their lives.

“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12 (ESV)

Thank you to everyone who helps us place the Bible into the hands and hearts of South Africa’s next generation.
