While patients at the Bela-Bela Hospital and Town Clinic benefit from the Agang Setshaba Foundation (ASF) Bela-Bela's charity drives, other children from the community enjoy trips to different sporting activities.

It has been over a month now since the members introduced a project of feeding patients breakfast on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and the project is going well to date.
Children affiliated to the ASF are often taken to trips to demonstrate talents from activities that they take part in on daily basis at the center.

This week the members took emerging young golfers to a golf tournament held at the Koro Creek Bushveld Golf Estate in ,Modimolle this morning, Sunday, 21 August.

The future professionals went to the tournament to watch and learn from current golfers who emerged from Polokkwane, Tzaneen, Bela-Bela, Modimolle and Johannesburg.

Long time Golfer, Mr. Mike Ramashala joined the ASF Coaches and took the youngsters through the course, educating them theoretically and practically for them to experience and understand the difference between a normal and professional pitch.
The children were divided into groups and shadowed professional golfers to watch and also play throughout the games.

Gracing the event include among other popular golfers; former Orlando Pirates player Sepeke Manamela, Bela-Bela's well-known Attorneys Mike Ramashala and Peter Sebola, teachers Kenneth Ndlovu and Desmond Modimola, and brother to Limpopo Premier Stanley Mathabatha known by Nape's father.

AGANG SETSHABA FOUNDATION’S CHARITY DRIVE CONTINUES

Patients at the Bela-Bela Hospital and town clinic once more had a warm lovely day as the social uplifters Agang Setshaba Foundation returned to feed them while queuing for their medical checkups.
The foundation members are living up to their motto; “NIKI NANA – WE ARE ONE” and collected money from their own pockets to buy and feed soup and bread to the patients, staff and visitors.

The members recently came with an idea for the project to donate breakfast at the facilities on Tuesdays and Thursdays and are in dire need for financial rescue to sustain the project as most of the members are either unemployed or pensioners.

Health workers and all other beneficiaries could not hold back their gratitude to the ASF’s efforts and had their well wishes flocking the members’ way.

AGANG SETSHABA FOUNDATION EXPRESSES IMMENSE PRIDE OVER BANYANA BANYANA'S HISTORIC TRIUMPH

Agang Setshaba Foundation expressed immense pride after Banyana Banyana got crowned the 2022 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) champions.
The ASF's Chairman Mr. Benjamin Molekwa highlighted that the team's coach, Desiree Ellis winning her third consecutive Confederation of African Football (CAF) Women's Coach of the Year was added to, by another proud moment to the nation, a historic 2-1 victory against Morocco.

"Banyana Banyana's victory really shows the talent and proves their determination. The team showed the country the true meaning of nation building and social cohesion .
As an organization that prioritize sports as a way of social uplifting in our community, we do not have enough words to express how proud we are of Banyana Banyana as they never disappoint the country.
Our children at the centre can look up to these winning squad and note that they can also make it big time in sports," said the Chairman.

The South African Football Association (SAFA) shows that women’s’ sports are worth investing in as they promised R400 000 bonuses to each member of the winning squad, and R10 million to the team.

"The hope of brighter future can be instilled in children by developing sports at grassroots levels across all of our country's communities.
It is in this regard that we wish that the Department of Sport Arts and Culture can also follow suit,' Mr. Molekwa concluded.

The ASF Bela-Bela sends their well wishes to former President Kgalema Motlanthe for his belated birthday which was yesterday.
President Motlanthe was born on 19 July 1949 in the Alexandra township, Johannesburg.

Former President Thabo Mbeki appointed Former President Motlanthe minister without portfolio in July 2008.
