Saheti Debutantes Fundraiser SAHETI is a leading independent school in South Africa and is still growing to better the lives of its scholars and future scholars.

Debutantes are offered the opportunity of being part of a group of exceptional young women with scope and purpose, by giving back to society as well as their school through the Debutantes programme and the charities affiliated to it. In 1970 a group of dedicated individuals came together with the hopes to realise a school that is committed to educational excellence while promoting the ethos and va

lues that SAHETI stands for, for children from all walks of life and reflective of South Africa’s diversity and cultures. Out of this desire to make the dream become a reality, the SAHETI Ladies Committee was formed and in 1971 the very first annual SAHETI Debutantes Ball took place. Dedicated and passionate parents, friends, corporations and institutions donated to the Debutante program and the start of building SAHETI School became reality. SAHETI was established in 1974 and barely 12 months after its inception, SAHETI had over 300 registered pupils with an ever increasing demand for more classrooms and a long waiting list. In 2003, the Board of SAHETI, on the initiative of Advocate George Bizos and his initial financial contribution, established a Scholarship and Bursary Fund to assist and attract learners of outstanding ability who are in financial need. Much of SAHETI’s growth is thanks to the efforts of committed Debutantes and their sponsors. The SAHETI Debutantes fundraising programme is run by the SAHETI Ladies Committee which supports the various chosen charities and spheres of school life, progress and development. Generosity defines us and shows others who we are. It is in this spirit of ‘giving’ that all supporters of the fundraising efforts of Debutantes are giving back to society. An exclusive Debutantes annual is produced, featuring the advertisements and sponsorships from various institutions, corporates and individuals. The Debutantes magazine is distributed to the guest base at the prestigious annual events.
