So good to have members and visitors pop in and join us at our Chapter meeting today at Baynesfield Estate.

The weather played along, a few planes flew in, some folks drove and all in all there was great attendance.

Coffee flowed as freely as the catch up chats and delicious breakfast buns were also available.

This past week, we received some wonderful news...

Long time chapter member, long serving committee member and past chapter Chairman, Alan Lorimer recently completed his flying training after a break from active flying.

Alan has been training at World of Wings Flight School under Noel McDonogh at Umkomaas airfield.(who also kindly supplied the video clip)

Alan, we are so pleased for you and cant wait for your return to active flying with chapter adventures.

We have a few chapter members and supporters who own and fly De HavillandTiger Moth's and Chipmunks.

On this day, here is to remembering the famous designer of numerous wonderful, iconic aircraft, Sir Geoffrey de Havilland.

Remembering Sir Geoffrey de Havilland OM CBE AFC RDI FRAeS, who died 21st May 1965. Engineer, aviation pioneer, innovator, naturalist, Hertfordshire’s largest employer in his day, and the father of today's aerospace industry. A true great in the worlds of science, technology & engineering.

Wowzers!!

What an amazing turn out last Sunday at our monthly breakfast fly in at Baynesfield Estate.

Our chapter welcomed a few special visitors from EAA 322 Johannesburg who flew down from Johannesburg to come see what we have been bragging about for some time now.

A presentation was also given regarding some upcoming changes to the structure of EAA chapters in South Africa which was well attended.

Thank you to ALL who took the time and effort to fly and drive in from all over KZN - it really is appreciated.

If you are not already aware, The Aero Club of South Africa Airweek and EAA 322 Johannesburg convention will be taking place NEXT week at Middelburg, (Mpumalanga).

It has always been a great event, well attended by many of the sections within Aeroclub. There will be seminars being presented, flying displays, vendors etc.

If you haven't attended before, why not fly up, camp a night or two and come enjoy what is always a fun fly in!
