We don't win them all...💔

After all the effort that went into rescuing this beautiful Secretary Bird, we were all hoping that the day would come when we could see it returned to the wild.

But, we have come to learn that despite incredible rescues, long trips to collect patients, late hours of teamwork, and the most amazing vets on hand, some cases are beyond recovery. But, they are never beyond help. 😇

In the end, we know our patient was not suffering from the freezing cold, dehydration, fear, or pain. In the end, we could help relieve its suffering, even if its broken body was beyond repair.☹️😔

We will never forget the people involved in this bird's story - the rescuers, our team, and Dr Tatham from Clarendon Veterinary Clinic - thank you all. ❤😇
