💚 BALLITO, LET’S MAKE THIS OUR BIGGEST FOOD DRIVE EVER! 💚

The time has come, and I am so excited to officially announce our FEED A CHILD initiative—a community effort to put food into hungry tummies and hope into thousands of children’s lives. 🙏

Together, CMH Ford Ballito, My SPAR Kwikspar Ballito Village, Big Five Foods, Restore Africa Foundation and A Heart to Help are inviting YOU to be part of something beautiful and spectacularly big.

Our posters are ready, and our first in-store collection point is being set up at My SPAR Kwikspar Ballito Village as we speak, with our One Pot Meal and fortified porridge products going in! 🙌

The dream is big: to feed thousands upon thousands of children through the generosity of this amazing community.

And it starts with each of us. One person. One family. One business. One donation at a time.

💚 Visit My SPAR Kwikspar Ballito Village and support the Feed a Child collection.
💚 Get your friends, colleagues and businesses involved.
💚 Share this post and help us reach every corner of Ballito.

I have seen what happens when this community joins hands. You show up. You care. You make things happen. And I believe that together, we can make this our biggest food drive yet.

To every partner helping bring this initiative to life, thank you. May God bless this work and every child it reaches.

Let’s fill those collection bins, Ballito. There are little tummies counting on us. ❤️

UBUNTU

I am because you are.

These are not merely beautiful words to me. They represent something I genuinely believe and try to live by every single day.

What hurts me is how few people seem to truly believe in Ubuntu anymore.

We have become so focused on ourselves—our own success, our own comfort, our own organisations and even who receives the recognition—that we have forgotten the extraordinary things that become possible when we join hands.

None of us was created to walk this journey alone.

I am because you are.

I am able to serve because others stand beside me. Restore Africa Foundation can make a difference because individuals, businesses, organisations and communities choose to work with us.

Every meal placed into the hands of a hungry child, every seed planted, every school made safer and every life touched is the result of people joining hands.

No single person can change the world alone.

But when we put aside our egos, our titles, our differences and our need for recognition—and begin working together—we can make a real, lasting difference.

That is Ubuntu.

It is recognising your humanity in another person.

It is understanding that another person’s child is also our child. Their hunger should concern us. Their suffering should move us. Their future should matter to us.

Because my life has meaning when I help give meaning to yours.

My humanity becomes complete when I recognise and honour yours.

I am because you are.
You are because we are.
And together, we can change lives.

That is the Africa I believe in.

That is the Africa we are working to restore. 🇿🇦❤️

🌱 HAPPY SPRING DAY! 🌼

Today, we celebrate more than the arrival of a new season. We celebrate every seed of hope that has been planted through the generosity, compassion and support of our incredible partners, sponsors, volunteers and communities.

Some of those seeds are now growing into beautiful vegetable gardens. Others are growing into knowledge, opportunity, dignity and hope for a brighter future.

From Eduard Louw, CEO and Founder, and the entire Restore Africa Foundation family, thank you for every seed we have planted together thus far.

Now spring has arrived—and it is time to plant even more seeds, nurture more dreams and spread even more hope. 🌱💚

Happy Spring Day, South Africa!

🌱 FROM A TINY SEED TO A BEAUTIFUL HARVEST 🌱

Today, I received a wonderful letter of thanks from St Luke’s Home of Healing, together with the most beautiful photographs of the fruit and vegetables they have been harvesting from their garden.

We donated seed and spent time teaching them how to plant and grow their own seedlings. To now see those tiny seeds flourishing—and the fresh produce being harvested and used in their kitchen—is absolutely phenomenal.

This is what sustainable upliftment is all about. It is not simply about giving someone something once; it is about sharing the seed, knowledge and opportunity that will allow them to continue growing for themselves.

It is our motto coming to life:

“Helping those who need a little help to help themselves.”

Their vegetable greenhouses are now being extended, and we will continue supporting them with more seed as their garden grows.

I cannot begin to explain how proud and grateful I am to have played even a small part in this beautiful success story. Feedback like this reminds us why we do what we do.

None of this happens through one person or one organisation. It happens when people work together. A heartfelt thank you to Starke Ayres, Shaka Garden Centre, the Restore Africa Foundation team, the dedicated people at St Luke’s Home of Healing and our incredible Ballito community.

And above all, thank You, Lord Jesus. Every seed, every willing hand and every harvest is possible through Your grace.

From a packet of seed to fresh food on someone’s plate—that is the difference we can make when we work together. 🙏🌱🥬🍅

What an amazing day to behold as Restore Africa Foundation joined Bk Maqhuzu Ngwenya at the Alert Luthuli Museum to celebrate woman and the launch of his new book.

It was such a privilege to share in the inheritance of our beautiful nation captured through poetry, highlighting the amazing women of our beautiful nation.

What a way to end women's month, though it does stop there, we have much to do, in so many areas.

Thank you very much for the honor to share our story as Restore Africa Foundation and share in your story of hope and dignity through literature and poetry.

Ps. What a privilege to meet Mama Luthuli and have a conversation about our future and working together. Thank you Mam.
