The Chamber also has representation on the Provincial Tourism Committee chaired by the CEO of Tourism KZN and has built strong relationships with local municipality and regional government organizations. 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱:
𝗞𝘄𝗮𝗗𝘂𝗸𝘂𝘇𝗮'𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲

The iLembe Chamber, in partnership with the Ballito Business Park Lot Owners Association, has released the 2026 Competitiveness of the KwaDukuza Commercial Property Sector study.

The study confirms that KwaDukuza remains one of South Africa's most attractive investment destinations, supported by strong population growth, expanding business activity, strategic logistics advantages and continued demand.

However, the findings also highlight an important challenge: rising property rates, service charges and development-related costs are placing increasing pressure on the municipality's competitiveness when compared to other South African municipalities.

The key message is clear:
Growth remains strong.
Investment opportunities remain significant.
Long-term competitiveness will depend on balancing growth, infrastructure investment, service delivery and affordability.
