Tidy Towns Amanzimtoti in Action 🌿👏🏼
Winklespruit | Pathway to Train Station | 15 June 2026

A busy thoroughfare used daily by commuters had become severely overgrown and impacted by illegal dumping, creating an unsafe environment — especially during the early morning hours.

The Tidy Towns Amanzimtoti team stepped in, with support from Budget Gardens and Sapphire Coast Tourism, to restore the area through cutting, trimming, garden waste removal and litter picking.

♻️ A total of 55 bags of garden waste and litter were collected.

A special thank you to DSW Kingsburgh for their swift collection, ensuring the area could be restored and enjoyed by the community.

Thank you also to the community members and businesses who continue to play their part in maintaining and improving the green spaces alongside the railway line. Together, we are creating cleaner, safer and more welcoming spaces for everyone🌱🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

If you’re not at school or work tomorrow, we’d love you to join us for the Amanzimtoti Promenade Clean Up.

Let’s come together as a community to restore, refresh and keep our beautiful coastline clean and safe. Every helping hand makes a difference!

PROUD TO BE PART OF THE SOLUTION 💙🌊

Tidy Towns Amanzimtoti was proud to join the World Oceans Day Beach Clean-Up on 6 June 2026 at Amanzimtoti Lagoon and Beach.

A fantastic turnout of approximately 95 volunteers collected an incredible 92 bags of litter, showing the impact we can make when our community works together👏🏼♻️

Warner Beach Subway clean-up — Ellcock Road 🌿 This pathway has connected Warner Beach to the beachfront since 2015. Today, Tidy Towns and Budget Gardens showed up to restore it. WARNER BEACH SUBWAY CLEAN-UP 🌿💚

On 1 June 2026, Tidy Towns Amanzimtoti, together with Budget Gardens, completed a much-needed clean-up of the Warner Beach Subway pathway.

Before commencing, we consulted with the VOV Trust, which has been maintaining this important community asset for more than a decade with the support of local residents and businesses. Our offer to assist was warmly welcomed, as resources are often stretched when it comes to maintaining the entire area on a regular basis.

The project included cutting back overgrown trees, trimming grass, exposing the beautiful aloes and palm trees planted during the original upgrade, and removing waste material throughout the site.
