Introduction

This document serves as the proposal to the University Student Affairs to seek an opportunity to bring the innovation of the young entrepreneurship in the university community at large. The Young Business Idea Developers (YBID) society will run the programme to generate the ideas of the student in the campus, giving them a chance to be structural creative by developing the best busi

ness ideas through the pitch sessions. YBID is being funded by the be-bold to perform the sessions like pitch session, pitch box to promote the development of young entrepreneurship in the university community.

• About the society

The society of Young Business Idea Developers work hand in hand with the be-bold. It is a society formed by students to perform on behalf of the be-bold to promote the development of young entrepreneurship. It will run the programme in the school community to train the students to come with powerful and strong business ideas that will help the environment on creating the employment and that will also be a good beneficial to the county at large. There will be programmes like pitch sessions and pitch box sessions, where the students will be in need of venue to perform such programmes. The Be-bold organization will help the student society (YBID) on funding its events in order the programme could be much successful around the community. It will fund for the refreshment costs and prize money that will be won by student who has the better business idea for the day. Pitch Session



In the pitch sessions there will be the drinks and snack that will be served and also there will R 1000 that will be issued for a prize, which will be for the best business idea for the day. Pitch sessions will be once every month till the final pitch session. The final pitch session will determine that the winner will go for the intervarsity pitch that will include every university around South Africa. In the finals of the intervarsity pitch the winner walks out with R 50 000
Be-bold as the Funder



The be-bold will fund all the events that will being performed by the society of the Young Business Idea Developers (YBID), also it will give out the money for the prize of the winner in such pitch sessions as well as the money to cover the refreshments costs. The Social Innovation Stream

BEBOLD focuses on both business and social entrepreneurship. For the SAB program at rural universities the focus will be social innovations that are sustainable. These models will be developed through ideas generation through to acceleration. Outcomes and Targets

The Young Business Idea Developers has an objective to increase entrepreneurship in the university community by:

1. Organising the pitch session in the university
3. Recruiting members for the society to improve its structure
4. Encouraging students to pitch as much as possible through drinks and popcorn
5. Promoting the young entrepreneurship in the university
6. Communication between the student community and the be-bold
