❓ Questions we've had from security officers this month:

1️⃣ My provident fund deduction shows on my payslip but I've never seen a benefit statement. What now?
You are entitled to a benefit statement once a year. Whatsapp the PSSPF at 087 240 7006 to check if your contributions are up to date.

2️⃣ Can my employer deduct a shortfall from a previous months out of my bonus?
Yes, if the shortfall is due to unauthorised absence or late coming.

3️⃣ I moved employers mid-year. What happens to my service benefit count?
Service benefit milestones are calculated per employer, based on continuous service with that same employer.

4️⃣ Is my night shift allowance taxable?
Allowances generally form part of taxable income — for specific tax questions, a registered tax practitioner or SARS can confirm your position.
