The appeals for four Iranian Christians have all been denied in Iranian courts. The believers you see here will remain in prison for a combined total of 70 years, reports .

Their “crimes”? Praying together. Performing baptisms. Celebrating communion. Gathering in house churches.

Today, pray by name for Nasser Navard Gol-Tappeh, Joseph and Lida Shahbazian, and Aida Najaflou (pictured l-r).

In Iran, following Jesus can cost you everything. But the church presses on. Join us in praying for imprisoned believers in Iran today.

🙏 Pray for God's strength, protection and presence in their cells.

🙏 For believers still facing trial—that the Holy Spirit will give them words to speak.

🙏 For healing and proper medical care for those suffering in detention.

🙏 For the families holding on—that they are still steadfast and encouraged.

🙏 For justice, and for the release of every person imprisoned for following Jesus.

🙏 For all imprisoned Christians in Iran, that God will strengthen and protect them.

Last week, more than 50 Christians were murdered in Nigeria. In one horrific attack alone, 28 Christians—including a pastor—were brutally killed. Before those attacks took place, Equipping The Persecuted issued terror alerts warning that these communities were in imminent danger. Those warnings went unanswered.

Today, July 1, another 10 Christians were killed in Benue State, with more than 35 others wounded. Men, women, and children were shot and hacked to death with machetes. Once again, we issued a terror alert approximately 24 hours before the attack. Once again, there was no effective response.

Let us be absolutely clear about what we are witnessing: these attacks are being carried out by the Islamist Fulani Ethnic Militia. They are not ISIS. They are not Boko Haram. While those terrorist organizations remain a threat in parts of Nigeria, the overwhelming pattern of attacks against Christian farming communities in Nigeria's Middle Belt is being carried out by the Islamist Fulani Ethnic Militia.

If President Trump truly wants to help persecuted Christians in Nigeria, the United States cannot ignore this reality. Any strategy that focuses only on ISIS while overlooking the Islamist Fulani Ethnic Militia leaves the primary perpetrators of these attacks free to continue killing innocent men, women, and children. Addressing the violence against persecuted Christians requires confronting all groups responsible for it.

Our teams are already on the ground providing emergency medical care, humanitarian aid, and assistance to the wounded and to the families who have lost loved ones.

We must also issue this urgent warning: we have received credible information indicating that major coordinated attacks may be imminent in Benue and Plateau States. Communities should remain on high alert, local leaders should take every possible precaution to protect vulnerable villages, and Nigerian security authorities must act immediately to prevent another massacre.

Every warning that goes unanswered risks costing more innocent lives. The time to act is now.
