⚽ AFYA AT THE GREY JUNIOR FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 4 & 5 September

What a weekend for our U/11 and U/13 teams! 🧡💚

Our boys had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Grey Junior Football Tournament, sharing the field with teams from some of the country’s most established schools.

And they showed up. 💪

Across the tournament, our teams remained unbeaten, winning all of their matches apart from one draw. We are incredibly proud of the football they played, but even more proud of what the weekend represented.

For many of our players, opportunities like these are not part of everyday life. Stepping onto these fields, competing confidently and discovering that they belong there just as much as anyone else is exactly why opportunities in sport matter.

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn’t.

This weekend, our boys made the most of theirs. 🧡⚽

Thank you to everyone who made it possible for our players to experience a tournament like this.

Thank you to SRCC and Sanparks who supported us through transport and for cheering us on!!

⚽️ A special meeting for AFYA!

We had the privilege of meeting with renowned football coach Ernst Middendorp to talk about football development, creating opportunities for young players, and the work we are doing at Addo Football Youth Academy.

For AFYA, football has always been about more than what happens on the pitch. It is a tool to develop young people, build confidence and discipline, and open doors to opportunities they may otherwise never have had.

We are incredibly grateful for Ernst’s time, insight and willingness to engage with our vision. Conversations like these remind us how much is possible when people who believe in developing the next generation come together.

We’re excited about what the future may hold. 🌱⚽️

Happy Woman’s Day 💛💚

To every woman in our community: your strength matters, your voice matters, and your dreams matter.

And to our girls: may you grow up knowing that there is space for you. On the field, in the classroom, in leadership, and wherever your dreams may take you.

Here’s to strong women, and to raising the next generation of them. 🌻

Happy Women’s Day from all of us at AFYA. 💛

Today we honour the courage of the young people of 16 June 1976. ✊🏾🇿🇦

They stood up for their future. Today, we continue that journey by creating opportunities for young people to learn, grow and dream bigger.💚🧡

At AFYA, we believe every child deserves access to education, sport and the chance to reach their full potential.

To the youth of South Africa: your dreams matter, your voice matters, and your future matters.

Happy Youth Day 🇿🇦⚽📚
