We at Green Empowerment for Development (GEFD) are proud to announce that three of our dedicated team members have successfully participated in the massive Capacity Building Training in AI Tools, part of the hashtag initiative. 🚀

A heartfelt thank you to Microsoft Elevate Skills, EY GDS, and the organizing team for this exceptional 2-day virtual event covering "Ethics and Bias in AI" and "AI Foundation for NGOs."

This training has added tremendous strategic value to our organization. As a Women-Led Organization (WLO) committed to environmental sustainability, agricultural restoration, and community empowerment across Taiz, Aden, Hadramout, and Marib, integrating AI tools into our operations will empower us to:
✅ Significantly increase operational efficiency.
✅ Develop data-driven, innovative programs.
✅ Channel more resources directly into creating measurable impact on the ground.

✨ Because Eid is only complete with their smiles... ✨

This Eid al-Adha, Green Empowerment for Development (GEFD) worked to translate the true spirit of solidarity into a tangible reality for our children.
We implemented a modest yet highly impactful initiative designed to blend joy with essential care through two main interventions:

🎁 Creating Joy (Psychosocial Support): Distributing toys to orphaned children, ensuring they experience the happiness and celebration of Eid.

🏥 Sustainable Care (Health & Rehabilitation): Covering the costs of crucial physical therapy and rehabilitation sessions for children with disabilities, ensuring their right to continuous, uninterrupted healthcare.

Every child deserves to experience the joy of Eid with health and dignity. We remain committed to leaving a positive, lasting impact on our community.

Strengthening Our Institutional Capacity: Towards More Efficient and Inclusive Humanitarian Action

We, at Green Empowerment for Development (GEFD), are pleased to announce the successful completion of a specialized training program conducted by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

This initiative is a significant step in our commitment to enhancing our team's proficiency in protection and field-based humanitarian work, strictly aligned with international standards. The training focused on core protection mechanisms and innovative service delivery, which directly strengthens our operational capability. This is especially vital for our women-led initiatives, such as the "Community Kitchen Project" in Ma’rib, ensuring our operations are robust and impactful.

This training underscores our alignment with the 2026 Humanitarian Reset agenda, ensuring that our field operations are fully compliant with international protection standards and demonstrating our commitment to the locally-led humanitarian response model.
