Youth Engagement in NDCs – Jordan
Youth in Jordan are leading the way in climate action through the Youth Engagement in NDCs initiative, a regional initiative launched by UNDP SHABABEEK in partnership with the .

📍 In Aqaba, a workshop brought together 20 young climate leaders—including LCOY 2025 coordinators and youth who participated in past NDC initiative—to shape youth-driven priorities for Jordan’s NDC 3.0.

The workshop featured strong engagement from national and local stakeholders, including the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Youth, and Ministry of Water, as well as key officials from the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority. Youth organizations from Aqaba and teams from UNDP’s Sustainable Green Pathways and Inclusive Growth Portfolio also took part in this collaborative effort to align on a joint roadmap for climate action.

Are you passionate about climate action and want your voice heard in national climate policy?

Apply now to join the Youth Engagement in NDCs Initiative – Yemen!

This initiative will empower youth (18–35) with the knowledge, skills and platform to actively contribute to the review of Yemen’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). You will take part in workshops, work with experts, and help draft recommendations to present to government representatives.

👥 Who can apply?

✅ Aged 18–35
✅ Yemeni nationality and currently residing in Aden
✅Must be fluent in English, both spoken and written
✅Must be able to commit to attending all sessions and completing all required trainings
✅ Interested in climate, sustainability, or environmental issues
