Our community came together in a powerful way to honor Jonathan Stills. Families, friends, local businesses, and so many others showed up to remember and carry his legacy forward.

For Jonathan ❤️

One year ago today, we lost our founder, Jonathan.

Jonathan was someone who saw needs and acted on them. He cared deeply for people, found joy in the simple things, and allowed love to lead him.

Today, we don’t want to only remember Jonathan.

We want to honor him by putting love into action. ❤️

Here are four ways we’re doing that today:

🍦 100 SCOOPS OF LOVE

In partnership with Dipper Dan’s and France’s Eats and Treats, we’re giving away 100 FREE small ice creams, 50 at each location!

Stop by either location between 3 and 8 PM. The first 50 people at each location will receive a free small ice cream coupon.

🥫 STOCK THE FOOD PANTRY

Today we’re stocking the Love Leads Us Food Pantry in Jonathan’s memory, continuing his desire to make sure our neighbors have food on their tables. Located at 1450 Rochester St, Lima.

Do one act of love or kindness today in Jonathan’s memory.

Stop into Milk and Honey Cafe tomorrow and sponsor a drink for someone else by purchasing a voucher for $3 or more. We’ll write the amount of your gift on the back and add it to our collection of vouchers for someone to randomly choose and redeem beginning the following day.

Your gift may brighten the day of a friend, a neighbor or someone you have never met. And that one small act of kindness may travel farther than any of us can imagine.

Milk and Honey Cafe will also donate a portion of the proceeds from every sponsored drink to Love Leads Us, helping to advance Jonathan’s mission of changing the world through daily acts of intentional kindness.

Sharing the Love ❤️🍦🥫

As we continue remembering Jonathan this week, there is one thing you should know about him:

Jonathan loved food. ❤️

But for Jonathan, food was about so much more than what was on the plate.

He wanted to make sure no one in our community had an empty table.

From starting the Love Leads Us Food Pantry to packing bags of food for families at Thanksgiving, Jonathan understood that sharing food was one of the simplest and most meaningful ways we could love our neighbors.

He knew that food not only nourishes the body, but strengthens the soul.

Food brings people together. It lets someone know they are seen. It can provide comfort in a difficult season and turn strangers into neighbors.

And, of course, Jonathan also knew that food could bring a whole lot of joy. ❤️

One of Jonathan's favorite foods was ice cream! Two of his favorite flavors were vanilla and black cherry. 🍦

So tomorrow, on the one year anniversary of Jonathan's passing, we're honoring that part of him in two special ways.
