Giddings New Horizons Lions Club The Lady Lions who SERVE the citizens and charities in Lee County + Lions Club International 🦁 In 1987, Lions opened its doors to women.

On August 5, 1987, the Giddings New Horizons Lions Club was the second women's club to be chartered by Lions International with 37 members from the Lee County Area. The club has since grown to around 70 members. Meetings are at 12 noon on the first and third Wednesday of every month. Local and club issues are discussed along with an informative and enjoyable program by a variety of speakers from the community and Lions Club Charities.

We were very grateful to have Mrs Ruth Jatzlau and Mrs Paula Holt speak at our Club today and give us more information about Lee County Relay for Life (an event we very proudly sponsor each year).

We have several cancer survivors in our Club, including Lion Juanita and Lion Debbi pictured with them 🦁💜

We are so excited for the graduating Class of 2026! 🥹🥰 Looking back at the Senior Tea, we are so honored to have been able to honor this amazing group of young women.

If you don't know, the Mother & Daughter Senior Tea honoring the GISD Senior Girls and their moms was hosted by the Giddings Study Club for decades. Four years ago they asked our club to take over the event and we were absolutely thrilled to do so as we knew this was a tradition we could not let end.
