This session was organized by the Henry Karlen Center and held on 9 May at Christ the King Parish to help youth understand mental health, recognize when they or others are struggling, and learn healthy ways to cope.

‎Youth of Our Lady of Assumption Parish held a workshop for Mental Health Program, an initiative by the Henry Karlen Centre aimed at supporting the mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of young Catholics.
‎
‎Held under the theme “Peace Be With You, Your Heart, Your Faith,” the program created a safe space for youth to discuss the challenges they face and learn practical ways to protect their mental health while staying grounded in their faith.
‎
‎The program focused on the link between faith and mental health, emphasizing that caring for the mind is part of living a full Christian life. Sessions covered common issues affecting youth today, including stress, anxiety, peer pressure, and the dangers of substance abuse.

‎A key message displayed on the event banner was “Say No To” alcohol, drugs, and other harmful substances. Facilitators explained how these substances are often used to numb emotional pain but end up creating more problems. Youth were encouraged to seek healthier ways to cope, such as prayer, open conversations, and peer support.

CMM associates held a 3 day workshop organized by the Henry Karlen Center at Queen's Park from 1-3 May , focusing on collaborating in mission, Mental health and psychosocial support. Associates reflected on the CMM charism and learned practical skills for self care, active listening, and supporting others.
