General information
The Up-cycling Station – what’s it about? With the current trend in up-cycling furniture still huge news, it seemed the perfect opportunity for The Furniture Station to branch out a little with an exciting new community project. The Up-cycling Station will transform pre-loved furniture into stylish pieces finished in Annie Sloan chalk paint – available for the public to buy - with all proceeds going directly to the Furniture Station to help with daily operational costs that will help continue to support families in hardship. But that’s not all: the project will also offer members of the community the chance to get involved, learn some new skills & gain work experience by joining us on a volunteer placement. The project allows those that are long-term unemployed to gain transferable skills & experience to help enable them back into work, By purchasing a product from The Up-cycling Station project, you are not just buying amazingly up-cycled furniture - you are supporting families in hardship to be supported with the essential items for a home and allowing them to build more stable lives.
