🐾 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗨𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝟴 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲! 🐾

Someone in Colony Ridge recently reached out to Poofer’s Place for help with eight cats who have not been spayed or neutered. The good news is that their caregiver is willing to keep them! We believe these cats are semi-feral, so our goal is to help them stay safe where they are.

We plan to trap these cats for TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), providing spay/neuter surgeries, rabies and FVRCP vaccinations, and any additional care they may need. We also hope to provide supplies to help their caregiver keep them safe and cared for.

Unfortunately, there is no animal control or shelter in this area to turn to for help. 𝗧𝗡𝗥 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴.

💰 The estimated cost is $80 per cat, or approximately $640 for all eight cats. Can you help us cover their veterinary care?

🥳 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱! 🐾💕

We’re so excited for this sweet girl! On October 22nd, Amber will be heading to Vermont to start a new chapter with her forever family.

It wasn’t that long ago that Amber was found in the stairwell of a local apartment complex, needing someone to step in and help her. Now, she has a family waiting for her and a whole new life ahead!

A huge thank-you to Kelli Matelske for helping Amber find the perfect home. We’re so grateful to people who help make these happy endings possible!

Safe travels, Amber! We can’t wait to see all the wonderful things ahead for you! 🩷

Remember Champie? This sweet boy is a fire survivor, and while he made it through something no animal should ever have to endure, his medical journey is far from over.

Champie suffers from 𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀, an extremely painful inflammatory condition affecting the mouth. Thankfully, we’ve found a medication that is helping him, but there’s a catch: 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 $𝟮𝟰𝟬 𝗣𝗘𝗥 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗛, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀. 😿

That’s $720 just for this one medication, not including his other care.

We are so grateful that Champie is responding to treatment, and we want to give him every opportunity to feel better. But as a small rescue caring for so many cats with medical needs, expenses like these add up quickly.

❤️ 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣 𝗨𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗘’𝗦 𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡?

Whether you can donate $5, $10, or help cover an entire month, every dollar brings us closer to keeping his treatment going.

Champie has already survived so much. He deserves the chance to live without constant mouth pain, enjoy his meals, and simply be a cat. ❤️

Please consider donating or sharing his story. Every bit of support makes a difference for Champie and the other animals counting on us.

Thank you for standing with our rescue and giving cats like Champie a second chance. ❤️

Today is a very exciting day for Lucy! She’s leaving on transport to meet her adopter, who is waiting to welcome her into her new home.

We found Lucy at the beginning of August in pretty rough shape outside a Dollar General in Shepherd, Texas. With some TLC, veterinary care, and time to heal, she has made an incredible recovery.

It’s hard to believe how far she’s come in just a couple of months. Today, she gets to start a whole new chapter with a family of her own.

Dogs like Lucy are exactly why we do what we do. Seeing an animal go from struggling to survive on the streets to having a safe home and someone waiting just for them makes all the hard days worthwhile.

Safe travels, Lucy! We can’t wait to hear about your new life in Buffalo. You deserve every bit of happiness coming your way.

The other day, Harlow was wandering outside a laundromat in Colony Ridge. Today, she’s safe with us! 🩷

This little girl has the most unique markings! She appears to be a flame point mix, with beautiful blue eyes, creamy fur, and a gorgeous gray tabby tail. 😻 Her coloring is so striking!

We’re so happy Harlow is safe and no longer wandering the streets. Once she’s fully vetted, she’ll be available for adoption and ready to find a loving forever home. 🏡💕

🩷 Remember Giselle? 🩷

We rescued Giselle from the Dollar General in Colony Ridge, and she has officially completed her heartworm treatment! 🎉

She visited Dr. Mazhoud the other day and was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. She’s started antibiotics and is already feeling better! She also received a ProHeart injection, which provides 12 months of heartworm prevention.

We’re so happy to see Giselle making progress and getting the care she deserves. 🩷

At Poofer’s Place, we want to continue helping the dogs and cats in Colony Ridge who desperately need medical care. But as a small rescue, we rely on donations to cover our veterinary expenses. When we can’t raise enough to pay those bills, it limits how many other animals we can help.

If you’re able to contribute toward Giselle’s care, you’re not just helping her—you’re helping us keep the door open for the next dog or cat who needs us. 🩷🐾

Thank you for being part of what makes this work possible!

We're running low on wet cat food!

We have many cats at Poofer's Place who, due to medical conditions and other health concerns, rely on wet food rather than dry food. We go through a lot of cans, and our supply is running low!

If you're able to help, we'd be very grateful for a donation from our Amazon wishlist. Every case helps us keep the cats in our care fed and healthy.

It’s been a long day for Juliet, but she’s finally back home with her foster! Her surgery today to remove the screw in her elbow went well, and we’re so glad to have this behind us.

Juliet is a puppy with LOTS of energy. She’s incredibly friendly and just wants to go say hello to everyone she meets! Being confined to a small room or crate isn’t exactly her idea of fun, but keeping her activity restricted is so important to her healing.

She already has a silicone lick mat and a Kong to help keep her occupied, but she always loves getting new things! If you’d like to send something directly to Juliet’s foster to help keep her entertained during recovery, you can do so through the Amazon link below.

Thank you for continuing to root for this sweet girl and helping us get her back on her feet! 🩷
