Dedicated teams from social workers to care givers and home nurses, truly make it easier for the recovery process. Children will generally be up and running, ready to go by day 2 post-procedure, but the work begins with post-op care from dietary needs, to medication and care.

Walking life long journeys with our warriors, restoring hope with a healthier future is our core mission. Milka Wahinya, 27 and a mother of one, has had several procedures from infancy at 18 months when she received a conduit implant in the USA, sponsored by Gift of Life, Ashland Ohio, her parents were then informed that a second procedure would be needed before her 18th birthday.

In early 2012, she would develop severe conduit stenosis with dysfunctions and dilations of the right ventricle, she would go from hospital to hospital affecting her schooling and academic life.
We then made contact with her and with help from Gift of Life Michigan, Milka was sponsored to undergo a second corrective procedure at Apollo Hospital, Chennai in March 2015. She made a quick recovery and even celebrated her 18th birthday and later became a mother.

However, Milka, has had some recent health complications and is currently in need of a third valve corrective open heart procedure that is not available in the country, we're appealing to well wishers and the public to help in kind as we work to provide support and urgent treatment and surgery for Wahinya♥️
