Wild Daze Movie More than ever we must champion the natural world. Wild Daze is a powerful story to engage audiences. Laura M. DeMille. A trustee of the Cecil B.

Wild Daze If it Doesn't Challenge You, It Doesn't Change You. Narrated by Keith David, Directed and Produced by Phyllis Stuart, Wild Daze was forged by a fierce desire to save the African wild while also protecting its exploited women, children and forest peoples.Wild Daze shows the correlation between saving wildlife and saving humanity. Experts like Dr. Jane Goodall, Will Travers, and others reveal how corruption, crime cartels and greed work to obstruct the efforts of lawmakers and conservationists who are working to save our planet. Since human survival hangs in balance, humans must decide whether we see ourselves as custodians, as entitled consumers or as part of a delicate ecosystem. This documentary has been released in virtual cinemas and is available on VOD. Saving the wild is enmeshed with international crime cartels, child soldiers, colluding government officials and a rampant illegal wildlife trade. All human beings are existentially and ethically tied to animal welfare but saving the wild is about helping people as it is about protecting nature. Though independently created, Wild Daze has enjoyed outstanding support from talent like narrator Keith David and cast members Dr. Jane Goodall, Will Travers, Ofir Drori, Tony Fitzjohn, Richard Bonham and Ian Redmond, among many others. Since human survival hangs in balance, we must decide whether we see ourselves as superior, as custodians, as entitled consumers or as a part of a delicate ecosystem. The wild needs everyone and the would appreciate your help spreading the word about Wild Daze. Your buzz-building support helps save the wild and by endorsing this film we reach larger audiences helping transform viewers into activists and wildlife conservationists. Filmed in 9 countries, the Wild Daze cast includes seasoned wildlife experts, eco-tourism businessmen, tribal and animal activists, trophy hunters, poacher hunters and emerging conservationists who advanced our shared goal: biodiversity conservation. Since our future is inextricably linked to nature, it's time to create lasting conservation solutions to truly preserve nature. WILD DAZE tells multiple stories inside environmental ecocide, including the rights of those living with wildlife, unbridled crime and corruption, child soldiers, insatiable Asian consumer demand for ivory, and rhino horn and resource exploitation. Today, Rwanda celebrates its 21st Kwita Izina — the annual naming ceremony for mountain gorilla infants and a tribute to the country's long-standing conservation efforts. This year, 24 infants born in Volcanoes National Park over the past year are being named.

None of our new patients required treatment this year — but had we not saved the life of adult female Turimaso in Susa group, her newest infant might never have been born on July 3, 2025. In 2009, as a juvenile, Turimaso was caught in a snare; we raced into the forest, freed her, and treated her wounds. Today her newest infant is being named, and her firstborn just turned six. Read Turimaso's full story (she started in Pablo group before transferring to Susa): gorilladoctors.exposure.co/vital-signs

Congratulations to Rwanda for its leadership and partnership in keeping mountain gorillas healthy and growing.

Human beings are NOT the only beings...South Africa considers non-humans commodities to enrich a handful of corrupt government officials.

⚠️ Born Free is deeply saddened by South Africa's decision to approve new export quotas for hunting trophies from elephants, black rhinos and leopards.

On 31 August, South Africa's Minister for Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, David Maynier, published quotas permitting the annual export of 300 elephant tusks, from 150 elephants, alongside 11 black rhino trophies in each of 2026 and 2027. In addition, 11 leopard trophy exports will be allowed in 2026, with a further 10 permitted in 2027.

Despite Born Free and other conservation organisations submitting detailed responses to the public consultation on these quotas earlier this year, our calls for compassion and stronger wildlife protections appear to have been ignored.

South Africa already has the regrettable distinction of being one of the world's largest exporters of hunting trophies. In 2024 alone, the country reported exporting more than 10,000 hunting trophy items derived from over 50 species protected under international wildlife trade regulations, including species classified as Endangered and Critically Endangered. Thousands of other animals not covered by these regulations are also targeted by trophy hunters each year.

✊ Help us ban trophy hunting imports to the UK

Shockingly, the UK still permits hunting trophies from South Africa and around the world to enter the country. If you believe wild animals should not be killed for sport or displayed as trophies, take action today.

Send a virtual postcard to Prime Minister Andy Burnham and urge the government to ban the import of hunting trophies 👉 www.bornfree.org.uk/nothing-to-declare

Chimps must find other families of chimps to survive...but too many humans overtake their land. Thank you Ecotrust for helping our beloved wild ones.

"In Uganda, rapid agricultural expansion and new oil developments have heavily fragmented what was once a continuous forest belt into isolated patches across community and private land.

The core protected reserves of Bugoma and Budongo have lost the natural connecting vegetation essential for wildlife to move freely.

The scale of this habitat destruction across both Central Forest Reserves and private or communal forests is staggering. Between 1986 and 2002 alone, an estimated 110 square kilometers of forest was cleared within 15 kilometers of Bugoma Forest Reserve, while approximately 90 square kilometers were lost within 15 kilometers of Budongo Forest Reserve.

Uganda’s remaining population of approximately 5,000 eastern chimpanzees, primarily confined to these northern Albertine Rift forests, bears the brunt of this isolation. While resilient chimpanzee troops continue to traverse agricultural lands between forest patches, re-establishing continuous habitat pathways between Bugoma and Budongo is critical to prevent genetic isolation and ensure the long-term survival of the species.

ECOTRUST tackling fragmentation

To tackle fragmentation on a landscape scale, the Environmental Conservation Trust of Uganda (ECOTRUST) and its partners are executing a comprehensive corridor restoration program across the Budongo-Bugoma landscape. The initiative aims to conserve over 50,000 hectares of natural forest by securing and restoring critical ecological linkages across Kikuube, Hoima, and Masindi districts.

Under ECOTRUST’s leadership, the Northern Albertine Rift Conservation Group (NARC-G) developed an overarching investment plan targeting key forest blocks necessary for corridor functionality. Initially launched via the Corridor Restoration Fund (CRF) in 2020 with foundational support from the World Land Trust, ECOTRUST mobilized additional resources in 2022 from IUCN Netherlands and Total Energies to implement the plan."

United Nations agrees to make new world map depicting accurate size of Africa!

"The United Nations General Assembly on Friday endorsed a new world map that represents Africa more accurately in its larger size, a culmination of a recent campaign led by African countries and advocacy groups.

Friday’s resolution, which was sponsored by Togo and backed by members of the African Union, was passed with 164 member states voting in favor. Only the U.S. voted against it while six other countries — Serbia, Estonia, Georgia, Lithuania, Moldova and Ukraine — abstained." WHAT IS WRONG with the U.S., Serbia, Estonia, Georgia, Lithuania, Molvdova, and Ukraine? Those people need to travel...!

This is the film's director Phyllis Stuart flying in a helicopter to film pick ups. There's a spot in Southern California that resembles Africa. So, she hired an actor to throw a spear while running in a dry river bed. Very effective when edited into the film!

I put a story about Ofir Drori in my film...he's a remarkable help to the wild ones!

"Focusing conservation investment exclusively on protected area protection, while ignoring the organized crime infrastructure surrounding it, is a little like trying to stop drug use in a neighborhood without ever addressing the criminal organizations supplying it. The pressure does not disappear. It persists and finds new ways".

Conservation has historically emphasized protected area management including protecting land, fencing, local enforcement and rangers’ patrols within parks. And indeed, decades of protected area management have demonstrated that strong local protection matters enormously. But there is a weakness in...
