SICA Britain Hello and welcome to the SICA Britain page. We seek to do this by supporting members of Subud who are engaged in cultural activities in all senses.

SICA Britain is a non-profit organisation that is part of an international network working to promote true human culture: Subud International Cultural Association - www.subud-sica.org. SICA Britain (Subud International Cultural Association Britain) is an non-profit organisation that seeks to promote and support culture as an outer expression of our inner selves. SICA and Social Media

We launched the SICA Britain website three years ago as a showcase for the work of British members of the international spiritual association of Subud. Now, with this page we are branching out into social media to widen the interest in SICA and to create a community of like minded and creative people in and out of Subud. We hope the page will give the opportunity for anyone interested in true human culture to make links with each other, share ideas, suggest ways of developing SICA in Britain beyond being a showcase for art related works. With your input SICA will become a dynamic and evolving community that has a real and beneficial and creative influence on the culture of Britain and beyond. We will of course still maintain the gallery aspect of the website so if you have any work of your own that you would like featured please get in touch via the contact link. If you are promoting a cultural event or want to share ideas about a project you would like help with then use the page to let everyone know what you are doing. Thank you and looking forward to working with you.

It’s that time of year again. We have limited edition two tone jumpers , each with our embroidery designs on front, back and sleeve for sale. We only have 18 of each size, in S, M, L, XL and XXL. Turquoise and navy with snowbirder design on front is £45 plus delivery. White and navy with cloud bird man is £30 due to a slight blue tint that changes the white when washed. Folks can arrange to pick up from the Granary, SO24 0LQ or send post details ( £5.50 to send Uk mainland). Income from this goes to support our endeavour to set up an Artisan and Makers village and the countless hours put into emails, business plans, meetings , professional fees , travel and viewings. We will get there! Currently we need expressions of interest for a beautiful farm we have viewed near Hay-on-Wye. Please email: [email protected]

The past 3 years I’ve been working with loads of people who desperately want to live on the land , grow food and live in community. Individually most folks are priced out. Collectively we can make it happen. This is a rare weekend gathering of planning experts as well many speakers who have set up various models of co-housing and is drawing people together in one place to see if they can help each other move forward. It’s only £150 including food , camping and talks. They need more people to make it run not at a loss. I’ve cancelled work to be there as it feels important. If finance is an issue try emailing the organiser, just maybe you can pay in Instalments. If community is on your radar, please email the contact details on the poster.

We had another brilliant day of stone carving yesterday at the Granary. All beginners, a group of 7 who had not met before. Lots of cheer throughout the day and all left smiling and hugging each other. One thing I notice is that the creative community I have been longing to create since I was a kid,...

ABOUT LEONARDO WILD
For Leonardo Wild, writing is about understanding the world better, about immersing readers into reality rather than escaping from it. Leonardo is a professional author with 11 books and 200 published articles as well as 50 produced scripts, from TV spots to institutional videos for various production companies, as well as written and directed feature-length documentaries, one of them the award-winning (LA’s 2010 “Merit Award for Awareness”) Yasuni Two Seconds of Life, and before that, Pesta, Experiences Of An Open School.

Leonardo has given numerous workshops on writing at various universities as well as writers’ conferences, including CraftFest and ThrillerFest, in New York. He is an International Thriller Writers—ITW— member since 2008.

Writing has been Leonardo's livelihood and passion since age twelve throughout his varied career - sailed across the Atlantic and the Pacific including surviving the Category 4 Cyclone Harry in 1989, walking over the Andes (three times) into the Amazon jungle with Native Indians, took part in gold survey expeditions in Ecuador's rain forests, cycled across South America, built wooden houses, and advised Ecuador's Central Bank on currency design..
