Thank you for all of the volunteers that worked so hard getting the dead and dieing trees down and the damaged trees pruned.

All that is left to do is clean up the smaller limbs and debris.

This is where YOU can get involved and help make an impact by bringing a rake, gloves, blower and just pick an area and clean.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Starting to get the trees down.
Thank you Steve, Jered, Seth, and Board members Bill ,Del ,Alex and Jon.

This is much needed work and a dangerous activity. The cemetery is still in a CLOSED status until this work is completed.

Thank you for your patience as we do this work. I'll let you know when we once again open up the cemetery to the public.

I'd like to thank the Apel Family and Friends!!
They once again came to the cemetery and did an amazing job of cleaning up the place!
They do this not for recognition or favor but for their love of this community and their respect for those interned in our cemetery.
Thank you C.J. and crew!

They had probably more work than they bargained for, I fell at least a dozen large trees that had died during the fire. There was limbs and tree logs everywhere. There's more tree work needed but it's a start.

We are in need of fallers with the ability to climb and chunk out some of the most difficult trees. Let me know who's available and preferably local.

Also a shout out to Alex for his tractor work hauling the logs and brush out.

And last but not least our arborist Richard! Who is guiding us through this process.

We will temporarily CLOSE the cemetery to the public for hazard mitigation of trees and burning stump holes.
Thank you,
by order of D.C., Sexton .

I was allowed into the cemetery to survey the damage left by this devastating fire that has delt this community a devastating blow.

The cemetery was burned through, some areas more severe than others. I believe that the markers can be cleaned of ash and soot.

The trees are another question most are burned and may have to be removed. We're going to consult with an arborist to determine what course of action to take.

We ask that you not enter the cemetery until we have a chance to identify and mitigate some of the hazards left by this devastating fire.

May you be given the strength and courage to rebuild this community to its fullest. Cohasset strong!
