A New Chapter for Roots
Alhamdulillah, today we're delighted to share some exciting news.
Roots has found a home within Quran Academy, and we're honoured to be partnering together in service of our community here in Newport.
For several years, Roots has grown through borrowed spaces, generous hosts and the unwavering support of our volunteers and community. This partnership marks a new chapter, giving us a dedicated space to continue nurturing meaningful opportunities for Muslim women and girls through faith, creativity and connection.
At the heart of this partnership is a shared intention: to serve our community with sincerity, compassion and purpose.
Allah says:
"The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong..."
(Surah At-Tawbah 9:71)
As Muslims, we are reminded that we are created to worship Allah and to be of benefit to His creation. We pray this space becomes one where people feel welcomed, supported and inspired for many years to come, inshaAllah.
A heartfelt thank you to Shaykh Najib, Br Ali and everyone at for their trust, encouragement and generosity in making this partnership possible. We look forward to working together, each bringing our own strengths, to better serve our community.
Roots will continue focusing on creating intentional spaces for Muslim women and girls, while working alongside Quran Academy as we grow this shared vision together.
There is much to do, and we're only just beginning.
