Since 2020, the Faith Land Initiative has been supporting faith communities across King County in practicing faithful and equitable discernment of faith-owned land, buildings, parking lots, houses, and other assets through our Faith Land Discernment Cohort. We are beginning conversations with interested faith communities for our 2025-2026 cohort, which starts this coming Fall!

Through the Faith Land Discernment Cohort, participants explore:

-What are we called to be in this moment as stewards of faith community resources?
-How can local faith communities embody reflective, relational, and impactful strategies rooted in their mission that center communities most impacted by systems of oppression?
-What do we need to pay particular attention to in the midst of the economic, social, political, and spiritual moment we are in?

The Church Council is seeking 3-5 faith communities to participate, with the support of a grant from Trinity Church Wall Street. Sound like your faith community? We are getting KBIGGER and changing our name to INTERFAITH GROUP OF NORTHSHORE! We welcome faith communities and individuals in the Northshore area: Bothell, Kenmore, Woodinville, Brier, North King County, and South Snohomish County to join us. More details soon!

*UPDATING to remove items we have already arranged for.
We have an urgent request for service from a dear Kenyan friend. Her friend recently moved here, and has rented an apartment, but has nothing other than a bag of clothes. She is a single mother with 3 children. They need everything to get started.
I would be happy to pick things up or arrange for larger items. Would anyone be able to help with anything on this list? Or have a big vehicle and be able to help pick and deliver large furniture?
-Iron
-Basic household tools (smallish hammer, Philips and flat head screw drivers, plyers, measuring tape)
-Dry measuring cups, measuring spoons, peeler, can opener, colander, basic cooking knives, spatulas, rubber spatula, butter dish, kitchen floor mat
-1 shower curtain plastic liner, 2 sets shower curtain rings, 2 bathroom floor mats, dirty clothes hamper
-1 bedside clock
-2 bedside table lamps
-2 end tables
-1 Dresser
-Dining table
