Children with special needs (ages 6-18) and their caretakers come together with community volunteers for a fun day of fishing they may not otherwise experience. These events provide a refreshing break from their daily challenges. Spreading a positive message that kids with disabilities can accomplish anything, we include all children, despite their limitations. This is all made possible through na

The C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation hosts over 90 events per year in over half of the United States and expands by 8 new events per year and into 2 new states per year on average. The C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation aims for presence across the nation allowing children everywhere and of any means an opportunity to learn how to fish. As we head into Labor Day weekend, C.A.S.T. for Kids is getting ready for one of our busiest seasons of the year.

September and October are packed with events, fundraisers and galas as we work toward finishing the year with more than 100 events nationwide. We also have exciting eBay auctions and some incredible donated items coming soon.

C.A.S.T. for Kids @ Hagg Lake needs your help! At least 12 Boat captains are still needed to get all of the Kids on the lake. Event starts around 8AM and ends with Lunch. Good opportunity for the fishing community to give back and help the kids!

Yesterday, she didn’t just catch a fish… she proved to herself that she could.

For three years, she has been part of the C.A.S.T. family. This year, she caught her very own fish—casting, fishing, and experiencing that exciting moment of “I did that!” all for herself.

To some, it may have been just another fish.

To us, it was confidence. Independence. Pride.

This is why CAST for Kids Foundation is about so much more than fishing. 💙
