Wigan Youth Zone

More brave bosses are heading into the youth zone jungle on 23rd June… and we’ve got a feeling there’ll be plenty of regret once the critters come out. 👀🐍

This time stepping up to the challenge:
• Sean from Fase Group
• Louis from Corporate Advisory
• Our very own Nikki Varley from WYZ

And because misery loves company… they’ve thrown these names into the mix 👀
• Kenny from Ollerton Plant & Civil
• Rob from Kingdom Services Group Ltd
• Stuart from our Board of Trustees

Paint the Borough Red is back all through June raising money for our rec area and the youth work happening there every single day.

Fancy getting involved? Go big, small, silly or serious… just make it RED ❤️

We’re not saying our juniors are strict trainers… but we’re also not saying they’re not. 👀

They’ve been putting the team from through some very serious training ahead of their 550-mile challenge starting at The Brick Community Stadium NEXT wednesday!

A massive thank you to the team for going the extra mile (quite literally) to support Wigan Youth Zone and Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

🔴 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝗧𝗢 𝗚𝗢... 𝗪𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨, 𝗪𝗜𝗚𝗔𝗡 🔴

In just one week, Paint The Borough Red begins… and we’re calling on our community to step up ❤️

Right now, we’re still looking for fundraisers to get involved and help us reach our £10,000 target for the Rec Area at Wigan Youth Zone.

This is your moment to make a difference.

Whether it’s:
🍰 A bake sale
🔴 A dress-in-red day at work or school
🏃 A sponsored challenge
🎯 Or something completely your own

Every single fundraiser helps create a safe, welcoming space where young people can make friends, build confidence and feel like they belong.

You don’t need to do something big, you just need to get involved.

💬 The Rec Area is where so many young people take their first step through our doors. With your help, we can be there for even more.

Safe to say the DJ project’s off to a beltin' start 🎧🔥

Led by 13-year-olds DJs Oliver and Leo, the group have been spending the last few sessions getting stuck into the decks in the music room, learning new skills, mixing tracks and building their own sets from scratch.

There’s also been loads of confidence growing in the radio booth too, with young people hosting their own shows and having a go behind the mic 🎙️

Massive shoutout to Tom2Trax for sharing his knowledge with the group.

Big thanks again to Chance To See Fund, Curious Minds and The Lathums for backing the project and giving young people these opportunities.

Quick answers, no overthinking 😂

Darcey ask young people and staff at Worsley Hall Family Hub what their favourite books are!

If you’ve been thinking about coming down, just do it - you’ll fit right in.
