How many other building materials can you name that can be salvaged out of catastrophic storm damage? Furthermore, log homes are incredibly resistant to inclement weather conditions. Mass timber is a champion for sustainable building!

While it’s been estimated that approximately 9 million trees were lost in the June 21 storm that swept through Bemidji, thanks to Heim Log Homes, 122 of those trees are living on.

When you build with wood you’re shaping the future of sustainable construction. 🌲🏗️

This Giving Tuesday, the International Mass Timber Alliance is rallying the industry to help fund the research, testing, and building standards that push log and mass timber forward.

Every donation supports:
✨ Energy-efficiency testing (Colorado, Texas, Tennessee & beyond)
🔬 Real-world data that strengthens codes
🪵 More visibility + education for log and timber construction
🌍 A more sustainable built environment for the next generation

If you believe in healthier buildings, stronger communities, and a future built with renewable materials, Giving Tuesday is our chance to build a better and more sustainable future.

Let’s keep prove what mass timber can do. 💚 Donate and please share to help fund the thermal mass performance testing happening now.
