Camp Bethesda Camp Bethesda, a summer retreat for volunteers and adults with developmental disabilities, is a ministry of Bethesda Lutheran Communities.

Camp Bethesda is one of four retreats offered by Bethesda Lutheran Communities.

Camp Bethesda offers a powerful experience for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and volunteers of all ages to build Christian community. All aspects of retreats—woodcrafts, Bible study, Camp Bethesdarecreation, praying and singing—reinforce Bible-based lessons and lead to spiritual growth.

General information

Camp Bethesda is a five-day, four-night summer Bible retreat for youth and adult volunteers and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Volunteer orientation begins on Monday morning. Retreat participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities arrive Tuesday morning. Retreats conclude at 11 a.m. on Saturday. There are three retreat sessions this summer that provide an experience for up to 60 participants with developmental disabilities. During the three weeks of retreats, more than 175 volunteers will be needed to provide one-on-one companionship and to work in other support roles. 2014 Summer Sessions June 23 - 28 July 7 - 12 July 14 - 19
