Saturday, October 5, 2012 - Registration 7:30am / Walk 8:30 am. Music! Vendors! Walk will start and end at the MWHC Regional Cancer Center Building located at 1300 Hospital Drive on the Mary Washington Hospital Campus next to the Imaging Center for Women. -Event will take place rain or shine! -Pet friendly event! Mary Washington Hospital (MWH) Foundation was created in 1988 to raise funds for Mary Washington Hospital and its affiliates. The purpose of the Foundation is to generate philanthropic interest in Mary Washington Hospital, cultivate donor relationships, and act as a grant-maker to provide financial support for community initiatives. Through all activities, the Foundation assists Mary Washington Hospital in meeting its mission “to improve the health of the people in the communities we serve.”
In 2010, MWH Foundation established the Breast Cancer Fund. Breast Cancer Fund monies are available to Mary Washington Hospital and its affiliates for a wide variety of uses, such as, but not limited to, promoting local breast cancer awareness, assisting families effected by Breast Cancer, and supporting local program training, education and equipment.
MWH Foundation is a qualified not-for-profit organization and donations are fully deductible as allowed by current IRS regulations.
