Art Glass Forum NY The Art Glass Forum | NY is a passionate group of glass enthusiasts who meet monthly in NYC to learn more about this extraordinary medium. St.

We meet the first Tuesday of each month (from October through May) in the Parish Hall of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church at Amsterdam Avenue and West 99th Street in Manhattan. Michael’s is a land-marked church whose interior was designed by Tiffany Studios. A wine and cheese reception begins at 6:30 pm, followed by our featured speaker’s presentation at 7:00 pm. After the meeting, members may take

advantage of the rich selection of nearby restaurants. The monthly meetings are centered around lectures by glass experts, with topics ranging from history and conservation to collections and exhibitions. Our presenters have included luminaries from The Corning Museum of Glass, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Chrysler Museum, The Neustadt Collection of Tiffany Glass, The Morse Museum of American Art, and other public institutions as well as private collections. Lectures span the extraordinary history of glass, from the ancient world to the present day, with special emphasis on American and European nineteenth- and twentieth-century art glass. Past topics have included the glass of Louis C. Tiffany and the Tiffany Studios, Emile Galle, Daum, Rene Lalique, Thomas Webb & Sons, Salviati Company, Quezal Art Glass & Decorating Company, Steuben, Blenko Glass Company, The Venini Company, Barovier, Orrefors, Yoichi Ohira, Lotton Studios, and many others.
